I've been using Kangertech Protank 2 clearomizers with an Eleaf for a few years now. I generally vape at 5 - 6 watts and under 4 volts with 2.4 ohm coils. I'm really tired of coils lasting only 2 - 3 days sometimes whether they're genuine Kanger or rebuilt ones. Sometimes the genuine ones taste nasty from the get go and sometimes the ones I rebuild don't work at all with the error message "no coil" or "atomizer short". I like the clearomizers but I'm thinking I'm pretty limited to what coils I can buy for them. If a person wanted a coil that would last at least a week, even in a different type of tank, what should I be looking for? Or isn't there such a thing? Thanks in advance.

@mn shutterbug take a look at the Innokin Zenith D22 MTL tank along with the 1.6 ohm coils. That should work for you at your preferred wattages. Their coils last a long time.

I use RBA's but did buy a couple last year with a bunch of coils as a backup. I got 3-4 weeks on a coil.

The D22 will be a huge step up flavor wise from your Kangertech Protank 2 clearomizers.

IIRC @JCinFLA uses that setup at 6-8 watts and is very happy. Hopefully JC will chime in cause she can offer you more info and always finds the best deals.

ShowMeTwice, I did look up the D22 and it does look like it could be what I'm looking for. I can handle 6 - 8 watts and if the coils can last 3 weeks or more, they'd be worth the price. Any recommendation on where to order this from? Also, I diy my juice at 70 pg/30 vg and nothing sweet. It's more about the inconsistency with my current coils than anything. I just never know when they're going to give out and if they're already a day old I better have a spare or 2 handy when I leave town.

JCinFLA will know where to get one for the best price. I will look around too and post what I find.

I was looking in some other threads and there are pretty many tootlers here who use the D22.

I DIY my juice at 50/50 and 70pg/30vg. Nothing sweet for me either.

Here is what I found.

MVS has the D22 for $22.99 Innokin Zenith D22 MTL Tank by Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis

DirectVapor has 1.6 ohm coils for $8.95 p/box. Innokin Zenith Vape Tank Coils 5-Pack | DirectVapor

I'm sure JC knows of better pricing for the coils and tank. She posted this earlier in the Are you done stocking up? thread: "If anyone still needs things, you might want to check out Ejuices.com and Eliquid.com. Both are having a Fall Bogo 50% sale now. Buy 1 item and get the 2nd for 50% off. Code is FALLBOGO50. The sale is on hardware and eliquids."

I tried to go to those to see if they still have the D22 and coils but my browser kept crashing. Argh!

No luck at ejuices.com or eliquid.com. Thanks for the suggestion though. I did have the MVS site saved for the D22 but their coils are quite a bit more than Direct Vapor. The again, after shipping for just the coils, it may be cheaper to get it all at MVS. No hurry. I'll wait and see if anyone else comes up with something.

ShowMeTwice is right...I love my Zenith D22 tanks and coils. I routinely vape at no more than about 5.5W and more often on my iSticks at only 3.0-3.2V! Coils last me a minimum of 10-11 days, with most lasting 2 weeks.

If you'll PM me, I'll gladly help you with getting the D22 tanks and coils at the best price.

Anybody ever order from Rock Bottom Vapes? Is this the same as the D22? Innokin Zenith MTL Tank
They have the coils for $9.99.

PLEASE....don't order anywhere yet. Those prices are more than you need to pay!

ETA: There are several versions of the Zenith tanks. Most vendors carry the full-size 4mL one, and they're pretty easy to find....but not the D22 tanks.

Similar situation here. I bought quite a few Dvarws & Currently Experimenting Building The 16mm Top Fill One. You rebuild your PT 2 Coils? I just have 1 one my Pico 75w its my favorite so far. Have to wait & see if I can get a wood grained one. I'm Tank Shy Right for now. Not feeling very successful at coiling & wicking, Yet. Get seasoned vapers' support before buying any tanks there is so many variations & manufacturers. One good thing from all the frustration, I've been forced off Nicotine, vaping keeling me away from cigarettes, we'll be alright

MVS is one of the consistently most expensive vape sources even with all the Panic Sales

You rebuild your PT 2 Coils?

Yes, with mixed results. Even though I'm sure I do it the same every time, at least 1/2 don't work from the get go. Then again, at just 5 cents each for the coil and wick, they still end up being pretty darned cheap coils. But, it gets annoying.
