I don't want to own one of everything. The more I own, the more likely I am to find I don't have charged batteries or working atomizers for any of them. I have two models of PVs (801 and 510), both of which I like. Now I want to find one mod.

I tend to work via a process of elimination so I've been wandering through the forum, trying to gather the names of all the mods. I grouped them by voltage and checked which model atomizers are compatible straight from the factory.

3.6 volts, 3.7 volts, etc.
Bartleby (501 - 801 - 901)
BB (510)
Bulli (501)
Chameleon (510 - 801 - 901 - KR808D-1)
Chuck (all)
Diamond Max (801 - 901)
DSE905 (901)
GG Grant (?)
GG Slim (901)
GLV Personal Vaporizer (510 - 801 - 901)
Janty Stick/Joye Stick (801)
Juicebox (?)
Laser (510 - 901)
Little Chuck (all)
Mini Copper (510)
Protege (510 - 801 - 901)
Screwdriver (901)
SP2 Sparkplug (801)
VP1 (801)
VP2 (801)
Xhaler (801 - 901)

3.x volts and 5/6/7 volts
Adaptever (510 - 801 - 901)
GG Transformer (901 - KR808D-1)
GGTS (510 - 801)
Indulgence (510 - 801 - 901 - EM4 - KR808D-1)
Silver Bullet (510)
Super-Six (510 - 801 - 901)
The Copper (DSE 103/108 - RN4081)

6 volts
Prodigy (510 - 801 - 901)

Other
eGo (? volts) (510)
Tornado (? volts) (510)
Magnum (simulates 5V) (510)

Question 1: What did I miss?

Question 2: If I want a 3.6 or 3.7 volt that takes an 801 atomizer, which should I get? If I could buy it without the batteries, I'd buy a Sparkplug but I really resent having to buy unprotected batteries just so I can find a place to recycle them before buying protected ones.

you can get battery to atomizer adapters in pretty much any combination. ie: 510 to 901, 801 to 510 etc......so do not limit yourself to which adapter the mod comes with.

read reviews and watch videos on the mod that interests you...many people do in-depth reviews with closups so that may help you out.

thats how i ended up purchasing a Sliver Bullet :)

I know about the adapters. I want to get an 801 as the basic connection and I'll probably get a 801 to 510 adapter.

I've spent days watching videos and reading. I'm getting slap happy.

i hear ya..it is overwhelming how many mods are out there and how those mods can affect your vaping experience.

do as much research as you can and also look for any negative reviews that will affect your decision...such as some mods have issues with switches and cross-threading.

what great about this forum is that many members will give their honest opinion about a mod and any pros and cons about them.

with that in mind...im sure you will make an excellent decison for your vaping style

I don't know what language nor can I take credit for the site (I ran across a link to that site earlier today on another thread on this great forum!). Just trying to spread the love!
Turns out it is Finnish. Here is the translation:
all mods

It's missing the GGTS (Vapor Kings), Magnum (Nhaler), Laser Personal Vaporizer (Ikenvape) and Diamond Max (esmoke4life). I guess they're too new.

Lists updated with your help ;) They should also load faster now, enabled Gzip.

Can someone confirm that Kameleon from Partysmoker and Chameleon from Ikenvape are actually the same device? The name and looks can't just be a coincidence?

That is a wonderful list you've created. It has been a huge help. (Oddly, I can't get the update to translate. I'll probably have to clear some cookies.)

The Laser Personal Vaporizer and the Diamond Max might be the same device.

Thats a REALLY usefull list vizi ,Thank you . It would be nice for it to be stickied for everyone to use .Theres to many mods now to know where to you buy what mod .
The "where" part is incomplete by necessity. He's listing one vendor for each (and it's not necessarily the cheapest one.) For example, The Sparkplug is $99 from the manufacturer (McDonald Webb) but around $70 from ecigsupply, electronicstix and litecigusa.

I think the genius of that list is how clear it makes it all. I had spent days looking at mods and unable to decide on anything other than that I only want 3.7V. Within a few hours of looking at ViZi's list (and the companion page that sorts them into battery types, e-Savuke.com | Akkutaulukko) I had it narrowed down to 3 possibilities. (Of course, I'm still stuck there, but that's not ViZi's fault.)

Here is an Idea Iam about to persue. How about an ecig with a multi voltage adapter?

Suggesting a mod depends on a few things. Do you need to find a balance between looks/portability, vapor and battery life? Or do you just want the best performing, long lasting device without caring what people think as you pull out your massive silver bullet at a coffee shop?
If size is a factor in your decision, you should probably be looking at some of the 3.7v AAA mods out there like the VP1 or laser mod. From the reviews on this site, it seems 2 10440 batteries can get most heavy vaporers through the entire day.
If performance is the main factor, then you should probably be looking at the 5v to 6v mods such as the Silver Bullet, Prodigy V2, Chuck, etc.

I personally would love one of the 5v to 6v mods that everyone raves about, but I really just can't see myself whipping one of those out in public without getting a few stares and lots of questions.
