Hi all, I'm brand new to these forums but have been reading a bit over the last week or so.

I'm now 2 days into my first vaping experience, having bought a Vapor King Platinum kit from electroniccigarettes inc

Firstly, I'm not overly impressed with this thing. The amount of vapour seems ok, it's definately comparable to my usual analogs, but I'm mostly annoyed with how much I have to suck on this thing to get a good hit. It's almost like sucking on a 1mg analog, you may as well take deep breaths of dirty air with the amount of throat hit I'm experiencing

I was thinking, it could be either the strength or flavour, which isn't too bad, I've been using the Marlboro liquid the most so far, which is 11-12mg, with my analog's being 8mg.

Or it's the unit itself. I havn't seen much written about this particular unit, and I probably should have done some more research before ordering.

I've also gone a bit crazy and ordered an Altsmoke BB, and also a Super Six (thinking the 6v vape may improve the situation). I was looking at getting either a Prodigy V2 or Silver Bullet, but both are sold out on the euro pages I've been looking at. I can't order from Puresmoke or Altsmoke directly, as I live in Australia.

Anyway, I thought I would ask for a few opinions on the vapor king and comparisons to the other units I've ordered, hoping secretly it's not that great and I've just made a bad purchase because I'm really keen on getting into vaping and giving away the cancer sticks.

I hope I havn't whined too much :)

Well, here's my take...

As a somewhat, nubie myself, I found myself in a similar situation.

Firstly, I am very stoked that there are forums like this one so more intelligent, inquiring newbies can do research and find the first "just right" vaping device for them.

Well, heres what I figured/did. I figured I spend over $180 per month on cancer sticks (tobacco cigs/analogs). I did some initial research and first purchased the Janty eGo. Received it within a couple of days along with some juice's. I was instantly hooked! However, like most vaper's will admit, it's not really a replacement. However, I did find that my analog intake, without any effort, was cut down by over 50%. I found myself vaping in the car, house, in the mall, and oddly enough, in an operation waiting room while I was waiting for a procedure. Vaping is not only better for you, it's simply,,,, awsome! Absolutely love it!

Anyway, I personally would suggest starting with the eGo, or, if you wish for something a little more like an analog, try a Joye 510 style, or the Janty Kissbox for starters. Both Janty, and Joye are quality suppliers and can't lose with either.

Today, I received my Silver Bullet (actually the black mod, "Smooth") and actually pretty happy with it, but, it's a little too,,,,,, tooo much. It's big and bulky. Most love it because of it's size, but for me, not really pleased in the size aspect. Maybe the AS BB would have been better. Idk, i'll give it a few days and we'll see.

Anyway, good luck. A good device is only half the battle. Juice is a different animal all together...

I actually have the BB, and it is definitely better all around than the 510 and similar 3.7v cigs. The problem with me is, that I have used it at 6v with unprotected batteries and I cannot get myself to feel satisfied at 3.7v anymore. I don't feel comfortable using it with unprotected batteries, so I purchased the larger SB and I am waiting for it to come in the mail. IMHO high voltage is the only way to get that warm and quick draw that resembles inhaling a regular analog.

Mate you are completely correct. I received my BB a few days ago and FAR OUT, this unit is such an improvement on my 510 device, battery life, vapour volume. Looks great too.

Only problem is I have a cold at the moment and I don't want to use it, vaping feels like hell with my nose and throat issues, not sure if it's the eliquid/flavour or just the vapor. Strangely though analog's don't bother me when I'm fluey, so I'm back on those for the time being.
