Looking Rba/Rda coil info

I have been lookin for info on doing some coils. I have looked into the micro coils and the spring e coils.

What at im looking for is a guide or info on making coils at certain ohms. I want to be able to know that the wraps I do are going to be the ohms I want without testing.

I have a general idea but not 100%. And I like to be 100% on things.

I would like like to know number of wraps for the different sized kanthal wire.

if you make any coils at all then i recommend you test them before you use them, so buy a multimeter now if you don't have one already.

It takes the guesswork out of 'kanthal 30g - 2 inches"

I would still put the coil on a meter. That was just an example. I want to know that when I make it it's going to be a certain ohms. Or is it just something that comes with making them?

Edit: I don't want to wrap a coil and have to wrap another because it's to low to use on my apv.

have a look in the rba forums, many threads on the different wires and coils.

resistance is rated in ohms per foot of wire cut a piece off and then measure it with a meter. iven if it is what you want testing the coil is still a good idea to make sure your safe and nothing is shorted,

I believe there is also a couple phone apps for wrapping coils.

personally I just wrap them and then know for reference "on this size wick with this wire I will get this"

It really is just as simple as know the length of the resistance wire from the positive post to the negative post. You can then figure it out based on the Ohms/inch of the gauge Kanthal you are using.

There is some kind of vapers toolbox on google play, if you have an android device.

Or, as Thrasher suggests, make your own vaper's toolbox based on your experience. Also, not checking your coils is not an option. Resistance has to be checked every time. Having a target is one thing, not testing, another. Good luck to you!

I know checking my coil is a must. That was a bad example I admit. I just don't want to have to re wrap a coil if it's not what I wanted. But that is what it is looking like I'm going to have to do.
