Welcome to ECF , but your biggest problem is going to be , procuring a device in Singapore , considering the law , there . The best thing I can recomend at this point is , for you to get in the required ( non-spam ) posts , then go to the sub-ofrums , for SG members , and ask them . I'm not sure of what is even available to you over there , but good Luck .

since I use devices that are unpopular I'll let others answer your device issues, but you should know that vaping is not hassle free. you will have to fiddle around with them, especially in the beginning while you are searching for your perfect device & liquids! many of the "parts" will have to be replaced on occasion.
most of us find the hassle worth it and the longer you do it the less trouble it seems. if you can handle that you can be successful :)

ps, oh my I didn't notice where you live :(

Thanks for the quick replies.
Yeah its much harder to get anything over here.
Managed to get an ego-ctwist yesterday from a friend of a friend.
Voltage adjustment doesn't seem to work well though as the lowest voltage seems to be the strongest.
Lucky i didn't have to pay for it :)
Will try looking through the SG forums for help again.

Thanks again!

Hey everyone! Thinking of quitting regular cigs and switching to e cigs.
Just wondering how much work it is maintaining one and if there are parts to be changed often.
Any veterans mind giving me some info and tips?
Thanks in advance!

The ego single kit is a good starter for newbies, (I am one of those myself). Just charge the battery, fill the tank and you're good to go. Only problem with them is life span of the tank is kinda short and since the CE-4 Clearomizer can't be rebuilt, it can get costly to keep replacing them

How bad of a life span is it?

Hi errolng!

I am no veteran by any means, been off analogs for about 2 months... but what I discovered for me (and making the switch easier and more persistent) were/are the following things:

-Large Batteries (I started with your standard 900mah batteries that didn't last me very long, ended up switching to "Bolts" which is essentially just a large batter tube with a button, that is it).

-Starting with Tobacco flavors (this made it easier to switch, since there was still a rather familiar taste to it, also I made sure everything had a good throat hit making me feel like I was taking a real drag)

-Planning (meaning, when I go to the bar I always make sure to have 2 batteries with me and extra juice, so I don't have to resort to switching back to analogs)

-Listening to the Vets (before switching, I was lurking on these forums pretty heavily, learning as much as I could, same with all the vapers in my office)

-Don't change your smoke break times! (this was another biggy for me that helped me switch; change nothing but the method of your nicotine delivery, makes your mind and body at least in my case accept it more easily)

-Enjoy (once you are comfortable, experiment with new flavors, gear etc! Also realize that after only 2 weeks of this.. you can smell and taste things again... you also won't have the nasty feeling of almost chocking in the morning after going to the aforementioned bar and sucking down a whole pack).

Anyways, I am not sure if this helps you, but these are some of the VERY basic insights that I have had which are not related to gear in particular.

Cheers and good luck switching!

the apollo ecig extreme kit is very easy.. you have a battery and pre-filled cartridges... :) super easy... (i have that kit now) but if you want you can get something like the apollo ego kit (just ordered it.. waiting for it in the mail now *should be here today*) which has three parts to it.. and you can fill with e-liquid... you really should do what i did.. you tube search what kind of kit you want to buy like apollo ego.. and you can see reviews by people on them... also google search info on e-liquid..prefilled cartridges and such.. i did alot of research... ive only been vaping a week.. but people think im experianced even tho im not.. i just know alot because i did a ton of research first... it really helps..
