I have a Vamo 3 and a MVP 2 and was looking to get one of these. I do understand that only tanks 19 mm and lower will fit without the adapter. I was curious about the size comparison between the VTR and the MVP. I love my Vamo but it is constantly getting knocked over and the tank will tip in the threads. And I do like my MVP.

Also are the threads on the VTR are of good quality? The Vamo threads are less then desired. And is the battery life on it pretty good?

Thanks!

The VTR is a little bigger that the MVP but has a easier to deal with form-factor because the tank sits down in it. The VTR weighs a lot more. If you get one of the first runs that has a swiveling connection point (like I did), it could cause lots of problems. Apparently they fixed the swiveling connection on later production runs by pinning it, but the old ones are crap. I'd stay away, I wish I did.

The connection issue was definitely fixed. No issues of any kind with mine over the last month or so. I'm a fan. Here are a couple of pics with the mvp2.

Even with the first batch, VV works fine. Just VW gets out of whack due to bad resistance reading.
It is very heavy compared to MVP but feels solid.
Worst part is the finish. It is a fingerprint magnet. It looks beautiful when shined, but first touch will ruin it. I am seriously thinking about getting a jwrap for it.

I have an original release, and I never had any real problems. The first runs were just very fickle and you needed to acquire a feel for them. I actually would rather have mine, because I like setting attys up on it. Just don't be an idiot and crank down on it. Once it makes contact, leave it alone. My brother has the non-rotating wheel, and his works great too. No adjustments necessary! ;)
