Hi, I'm a fairly long standing smoker and after several failed attempts at outright quitting (once for 2years) I've decided to give E-cigs a go for a cheaper and healthier option. I'm new to the whole E-cig movement and to be honest I'm a little overwhelmed and have no idea where to start.

I live in the UK and I was really hoping that someone here could offer some assistance on to what model I should go for, the places which offer the best deals and also what strength cartridge I should choose. I smoke on average about 20 a day.

Thanks in advance and also I apologise if this has been asked countless times before in other threads. :)

for first one to try and see if it works for you go for the 510 you can get the 2 battery 2 atty set for around 35$ US

I was smoking a bit more than that and 24mg worked for me.. still wanted a cig for 3 days after I got it but just held off on smoking them after 3 days could not stand smoking a cig.

also look into the blue foam mod.. if it wasnt for that I probably would of gave up on the thing.

and as far as carts go look into the different flavor e-liquids it is a lot cheaper to buy 30ml vials than it is to buy carts.

if it works for you order a usb pass through.. it will keep you from having to recharge batteries all the time and end up being halfway through the day with no charged battery

as far as supplier look at the list below.. i have not priced them in awhile.. just go through and price for cost including shipping

the blue foam mod makes it so you do not have to refill your cart as much.. it works like a full cart until it is almost empty.. the pre-filled carts will be half full and taste like they are running out of fluid.

the list at the bottom of the forum is supplier list.. 90% of them also have coupon codes. right now some are even having up to 40% off sales so you can get a real good deal.

Hello killgannon!
--- Welcome to the world of Vaping! - and welcome to ECF!

Many different models of e-cigs are available as you already know. In my opinion there are perhaps two or three models which seem to stand out as most-often purchased by a major portion of newcomers to the vaping scene. The Joye-510 is one of those models. (( It also just happens to be the one I personally chose for my first PV.)) I started last September and now have experience with several other models of PV's. But I will tell you that I have always been most pleased with that initial choice of the J510.

I doubt many folks here would argue against the J510 as being, on the whole, a highly respected device and a solid first-time PV to begin with.

But you will likely find (like so many of us) that as you gain familiarity and understanding through your own experience [and that doesn't take very long].... then you will probably decide at some point to try other devices as well. It just seems that this is what happens as one discovers firsthand the many positive consequences of turning away from tobacco in favor of 'Vaping' as an alternative to smoking.

By choosing to investigate the amazing realm of Personal Vaporizers (e-cigs)..and by coming here to ECF, you have already made an extremely valuable turn and taken a most important (perhaps THE MOST IMPORTANT) step.

I dare say.... you will NOT EVER regret it!!

Again WELCOME To The Wonderful World of Vaping!:D

Cheers,
fisch ;)

Thank you for that very warm welcome I'm happy to be a part of the community =]

I just ordered a J510 from a UK supplier and I even convinced my aunt to make the switch with me.

I'm also going to try the blue foam mod after finding a tutorial on youtube and seeing how easy it is.

Again, thank you for all the help and welcoming me to the community, I hope to be around for a long time =]
