Hello guys, I have been lurking for a while now, but now need some individual help.

I have an 900 mah ego (vaporshark) and a Vaporshark Glass (pretty much a PT2) as well as an Iclear 30B.

I have been looking to upgrade for a few weeks now. First, I was looking to upgrade simply to a Spinner. I was told that will give me the added taste and vapor I was looking for. Then, the local shop was talking me into a Variable Vold/Wattage, either VAMO, Iclear MVP or VV, or something similar.....but after talking to an online shop, they said the large difference in price and size I wouldnt see THAT much of a difference from a spinner, very marginal.

Yesterday, I passed by a shop and for fun decided to try a different style tank, a Vision Ego Clearomizor, for like $5. I was very very suprised. The vapor is about the same, but the taste of the same juice is much more pronounced.
SO my question is, I thought the tanks I had were, "top of the line". The major difference of the Vision Ego Clearomizor I see is the wicks. Instead of a small coil with 2-4 very small wicks on my PT2 & 30B, their are basically two large wicks that are replaceable.

Would that produce the more flavor I am looking for?? Instead of spending $50-75 for a MOD or $30 for a Spinner, I was going to try something like the Iclear 16, Vision 2.5 mini nova, or SMOK 2.5 mini vivi nova.

Sorry for the long post, as it is my first...but I am REALLY REALLY into vaping, started with a V2 808 kit, and slowly moving up. I just want to make sure I make the correct jump. Obviously I have spoken with local shops, but I always feel they have an agenda and are upselling.

Thanks guys
Adam

I started vaping at Christmas. I just recieved my first mod on monday and I can't say enough about it. It'a Tesla, very unique looking, nice and weighty, works like a champ. Adjustable voltage and wattage, always checks the battery when you turn it on. According to the two reviews I watched (I'll include the links) the only thing they didn't like was the display and adjustment buttons. everything else was great. I've got an Aspire BDC tank on it and it produces mountainous clouds of vapor. Take a look at it. I've also included a link for where I bought mine.

I AM NOT AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WITH THE SELLER OR REVIEWERS OF THE TESLA (I just love the heck out of it)

These Aspire ET-S BDC Clearomizers are my favorite. I have a lavatube type mod and some Davide King tanks along with some Vivi Novas, and if I had to do it all over again, all I would would get are these clearomizers and a couple of twists. They look great on an Ego and perform flawlessly. I've only had them for a couple of weeks, but so far I have had no leaking, gurgling, dry hits or..........anything. They're bottom dual coil, so the vapor and flavor is fantastic and the atomizers are cheap. Plus they're glass, so none of the juices will harm it. Absolutely the most hassle-free way to vape I've found.

Anymore help??

For a 1st post maybe this was too much?

I am reading there is a difference top coil and bottom coil. Maybe that is the difference between my PT 2 and Iclear 30b I have and the $5 Vision Ego Clearomizor I recently tried and liked?

No, not too much.

I think top coil clearomisers give a better taste. I've always thought that, it's just most of them are a bit...um...um... not good!

Personally, I prefer the taste off a $5 iClear16 to any sort of $15 Protank.

Vaping is mostly compromise for me during the day.... so juice capacity and not getting dry hits wins the battle.

The tanks you are talking about will help a couple of those are very good tanks for ego batteries or spinner batteries. But GET THE Vamo! start out with a V2 or 3 or the 5 is little more expensive. I have all of these and they are Excellent mods and you not regret buying one. and get a Smok Trophy Tank $11.99 at discount Vapers.com. If you can afford it get a Nautilus, it is the best tank out there.

Thanks for the response. What is the difference between the Aspire ET-S BDC, and Vivi Nova BDC? Looked online but could not find the difference. I would imagine the Aspire ET-S and vivi nova would be a better quality than Vision or SMOK nova tank, right?

So what your saying is, even with the Lavatube, you can't tell much a difference. The twist with a good clearomizer is just as good?

If you are looking to just upgrade your tank you need to decide if you want top coils or bottom atomizers. Top coil tanks will burn faster because if they are not constantly full: a portion of the coil will dry out. When you take a hit and the coils heat up and the dry portion of the coil will burn and the coil will have a shorter life. On bottom coil tanks the atomizer is always wet because the juice sits on top of the wicks. I have used both styles of these in the past and I have been much happier with bottom coil atomizers. A tank that I would suggest if you have 510/ego threading is the Aspire maxi. This tank is a BDC (Bottom Dual Coil) tank. It has a removable drip tip so you can customize what you are putting to your lips. The only problem that I had with it was that it only holds 1.5 ml of fluid. This was a great affordable tank that I would highly suggest.

The Lavatube and the twist do the exact same thing. All them do. They just supply power to the atomizer. It makes no difference what type of unit supplies the power. If you're into sub-ohm and stuff, then you need to worry about amperage limits, but with normal 1.8 or 2.2 ohm coils, pretty much any variable voltage device will do. I prefer the Ego over the lavatube simply due to its portability. It's slimmer, carries better in my shirt pocket and doesn't look like I'm puffing on a pipe bomb. In my opinion, the tank is much more critical than the device.

How would you compare the vivi or ET-S to the Iclear 16.

They look very similiar and my local shop carries the Iclear.

I like the VAMO, just need to be convinced it will make as much difference as the price is.

I've never used the Iclear 16, but it appears to be a top coil. I've used the vivi's and they're also top coil. The problem with top coils is that you get dry hits and bad tastes if it doesn't wick properly. I haven't had this with the ET-S. Also, the ET-S is glass, which I think is important.
