Looking to Upgrade!

Hello,
Currently I have an eGo Twist and wanting to upgrade. Been reading on here about all the different APV and thinking getting a vamo.
The wife is only letting me spend $80 dollars so my questions are:
1) Where to order from?
2) Should I order a full kit or order everything by itself?

Any help or suggestions on the above or maybe other mod would be great.

If you're set on a Vamo, that's fine. They can be had anywhere for ~$40. I wouldn't go with a kit though.

Do not go cheap on the batteries and charger! When it comes to SAFETY the few bucks are worth piece of mind (at least to me). Spend the money on a Pila IBC charger (~$45), and use only AW IMR batteries. The cost of the AW's are generally only $1-$2 more than the cheapy's.

I also went from an eGo-Twist to a VAMO

I ordered my VAMO from iVape.net for $50 for Stainless Silver
Got 2 AW 18350 batteries (I only run in short mode) $9 per from provape.com
Got a NiteCore Intellicharge i4 ($20 amazon)

As KY said, please do not go cheap on batteries and chargers. Personally, I prefer AW and Panasonic

The Vamo is an excellent upgrade. It's important to get good batteries, so depending on the kit, you may want to order the batteries separately. Separately, you can get the Vamo, batteries and charger for about $70. I would recommend Efest or AW batteries. Here are some sites to consider:

I got four 18350s and the Nitcore I4 for $40 shipped. I ordered my Vamo from China because it was cheaper and I didn't mind waiting. I got a kit that came with the Vamo, batteries, charger, and 2 vivi novas shipped for $55. I will just keep those batteries and charger in case of emergency.

I got the stainless due to bad reviews on the finish on the other models

I bought a Vamo body from them last night, but not the kit. I'm very picky about batteries and chargers, due to safety issues. I use AW IMR batteries in my mods and have an Xtar charger. The Xtar isn't as good as a Pila, but it was suggested to me as an alternative because the Pila is not in my budget.

I was looking at a mod that takes 18650 batteries a couple of nights ago, but my charger doesn't charge batteries that size. RTD Vapor is where many members (including myself) usually buy their batteries and I found an acceptable set-up. You might be able to find it cheaper (or a cheaper brand), but I have confidence with both of these:

AW IMR 19650 (1600mAh - $9.87; 2000mAh $11.27)
Xtar WP2 (aka WPII) $19.95

Sweet Vapes has the same charger for $16.95, but they only carry the 2000mAh (or did when I last checked) which were a bit more expensive.

My 18650 flat top and nipple batts work fine in the Vamo. Make absolute sure you only get HIGH DRAIN UNPROTECTED batteries. I got my batts from Fasttech BUT it took 11 days for delivery

I would get the 18350's in flat tops and the 18650's in nipple tops. To get the most out of your Vamo, two 18350's provide better power, IMO and from what others have reported.
