well been doing to a little shopping and there's so many option..unlike when i bought my mech mod i knew just what i wanted.
now i what something with alil more technology behind it. im look for a mod that does both variable wattage and voltage if it existed, kinda big with a screen that can read my atomizer ohm and tell the best wattage and voltage and if it does more that fine. i dont really need it to be a computer (calender clock alaram clock) how much im vaping would be nice. any ideas? but must be 510

I don't think a mod that tells you what voltage to set exists, though. That is for your taste buds to decide.

No, because there is no best voltage and wattage to vape at. That would be like an app telling you what color to paint your house. It is subjective. A matter of taste.

The closest thing to what you are talking about, is variable power (wattage), which many mods have, including the MVP 2 and the VTR. This function measures the resistance of the atomizer, and automatically sets the voltage in order to produce whatever power (wattage) you have selected.

But what power or voltage to select is still a matter of taste.

+1 for MVP2. VV/VW, reads ohms, all day and then some battery life, can be used to charge your phone or tablet in a pinch, charges with micro usb so you don't need to buy a separate charger, and you can find them for around $40 online. If there's a drawback it's the 11 watt limit. The VTR is similar but goes to 15 watts, can't be used as a charger, and uses removable batteries which means you'll need spares and a charger.

I as well would go MVP 2 or VTR. I have both, love both, and use my VTR as my day to day pv when I'm not dripping. Couple either MVP or VTR with a Kayfun (KFL) and start building your own coils. It gives you a lot of controlablilty and adjustability to fine tune your vape for what you wan it to be. If you don't want to dive into rebuildables yet the iClear16 is a solid tank setup as well and often comes as a kit with the MVP, the iClear 30 comes with the VTR most often.

Honestly, with the things you say you're looking for (bigger, nice screen, track how much you're vaping, a little more technology), I'd recommend an eVic. It's an 18650 tube mod with a screen that gives you all the info you need. Here's a picture of my screen right now:

On the upper left, I've got the volts I'm currently running at, then the resistance of my atomizer. Upper right is battery percentage, and the middle is the wattage I'm using right now. These fields are customizable - you can also display how many drags you took today, how many drags total, or time/date. You can also set it to tell you once you've gone over a customizable number of drags for the day and when the battery is above a set (also customizable) temperature.

It will recommend a vape for you, but it always recommends 5.2 watts or the equivalent voltage, which is way too low for most people (I'm guessing you already know that if you have a mech, but for anyone else reading). I generally keep it at or around 8 watts (although I like the juice I'm using right now a little hotter, hence the 11). You can get one for around 80 bucks.

If you like high power or sub-ohm setups, they just released a higher end model, the eVic Supreme, to compete with the DNA30 stuff. That one will do up to 30 watts and handle atomizers down to .5 ohms. It has a bigger screen with more information (a little too much, in my opinion, but that won't keep me from getting one). This thing's getting excellent reviews (Spinfuel's is here) and comments from people who have them. It's about $160.

You are just in time for the new DNA type devices that come with screen that displays SIMULTANEOUSLY your ohms, volts, watts etc.

Most of the older devices such as the vamos, svd, lavatube, vtr, mvp, vv-v3, they display with a small screen and you have to click through menu to check things like ohms and battery volts; the evic was an exception.

It's hard to recommend that over an MVP when the MVP is less than half the price and is more powerful. Especially since for around the price of the Evic you could get a Hana DNA 30 clone for under $100.

I think it really depends on what you're looking for. Some people don't want 30 watts or a box style. I usually recommend the MVP, but he wanted something bigger with a little more tech and a nice screen. That says eVic all day to me. And honestly? I love my eVic and I'd never trade it for an MVP. I'm a gadget nerd, though, so I like the technology and all the information I can get from it. I'm also a big fan of the replaceable batteries (I keep 3 VTC5s in rotation between the charger and the device).

An MVP may be the right choice for him, but it may not be. It's not for me.

Hana Modz v3 for the win. Sub ohm capability to .3 ohms. Kind of tough to find new right now but this thing is awesome.

The Sigelei 20W is an excellent choice, IMHO, and meets his requirements, and then some. I brought one and extremely pleased with it. I also own an eVic and I have an eVic Supreme pre-ordered. I think the eVic Supreme will replace everything!

Hey there, if youre absolutely new to using an APV Id recommend going to a local brick and mortar and play around with some. Id recommend a vamo v5 its pretty accurate and dirt cheap. I believe I read another poster above mention the dna 20/30 mods. I feel like the description of the device you really want is 90% covered in the form of a dna device. Clone or authentic I dont think you can go wrong. You would also likely be interested in any new device that has an sx350 chip, it is like an evic on steroids! Good luck on your search!

I just bought the original evic for $75 on ebay. I've been loving it. The performance is fantasic. Of course the Evic supreme came out one month later. I wonder how long it will be until I irresponsibly buy it?
