I'm looking to upgrade from my 510's and 901's to a mod. I have went through all 3 versions of the dse905 and they all seem to short out after a few days of use. My friend let me try his Screwdriver mk1 and mk2 and I didn't like them either. So although I'm not super new to vaping, I am new to the mod world and looking for something dependable, somewhat enexpensive, and the battery life will last all day. I'm a full time fireman and don't get much time to charge batteries while at work and don't want to be stuck without my e-cig. Any suggestions on what mods I should look at or personal stories would be more than appreciated... Thanks...:)

Check out ikenvape.com. The Chameleon can be used at different voltages with the sleeve and with the purchase you get a 901/801 and a 510 adapter. No reason to choose. The 901 also gives you the ability to use a cartomizer. Now you are buying rechargeable batteries and different atomizers of your choice. These ranges allow you the ability to vape depending on your mood. Smooth and easy. Harsh and demanding. Or just want a little vape. You choose. Juice flavors change with each choice and the choice is all yours!

Ok so to add a little to this.. I'm looking for a mod that isn't too bulky and heavy (I need to carry it at work), one that can be used at multiple voltages (not sure what I will like the best) and as for price I would hope to stay under $100. Thanks for all the suggestions so far!!

Take a look at my profile for the pics for 3- 3.7. Will add more tomorrow with the double bat sleeve pic. I am 5 feet-giving myself a 1/2 in or so and 125 lbs. Great little pv that packs a punch.

Then I would suggest the following:
-Xhaler for multiple voltage (3.7, 5, 6 , 7.4), also the Prodigy 3.7v I beleive as well as 5
-If you don't mind sticking with 3.7 - a little chuck or a janty stick
- for 3.7 or 6v a Big Chuck or a Black Beauty
I know this leaves you with alot of options still and even more that I forgot to mention, but hopefully it's a start. Best of luck in your search

I won't tell you to buy a Chuck, but you should at least check them out.
THAG BUILT: A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing!

- 3.7V, 6V, 7.4V (as versatile as almost any other mod)
- Custom design (anything you can think of, can go on it)
- Built like a tank (so it will definitely stand up to your line of work)
- 3-4 day batt life
- Best warranty you will find (IMO)
[/end commercial]

Now, that being said, you should narrow it down to a few that peak your interest then do some forum searches to see what people are saying about them.

*Silver Bullet is another to put on your list of options.

I've been looking into the chuck and the bartleby. I've have read that there is a lot of problems or possible problems with the switch used on the chuck. I like the bartleby size but the toughness of the chuck... hmmmm... I guess I might just have to try both.. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. It has made the decision easier.:)

Everyone that doesn't have a chuck is always quick to bash the switch.
Everyone that does have a chuck loves the fact that it fires every time it is pressed ;)
Well said.

However, if you intend to carry it in the pocket of your pants, maybe not for you.
And I say that as a bonifide Chuck lover who will never buy anything else.

But then, I don't carry it in my pants pocket.
:)

I have a BB from AltSmoke. It's a 3.7v (or 5v with the passthrough I think). I put it in my pocket all the time (jacket pocket). It uses 510 attys (standard) or you can use an adapter to 901 or 801. Battery lasts me all day. Price is $99 for just the BB. Battery, atty and cart are extra. I alternate between it and my Silver Bullet. I love both of them.

ETA: Should add that the BB unit can be concealed in my hand with only the atty and cart showing. The Silver Bullet is about an inch longer and quarter of an inch larger in diameter.

Another vote here for the SB. It is just rock solid. I love the recessed button as well as the switch they used. Fires every time. Fits my hand perfectly. Fits my jacket breast pkt perfectly. And for $7 @ lowes, I found a belt holster that fits it p...retty good. Not quite perfect, but it'll work very nicely when the weather warms up.

Here is a good list with pics.

E-cig News: A run-down of all the big battery model e-cigarettes on the market

Check 'em out then research some more. I also suggest looking at the supplier sub-forums. Those with lots of complaining threads, I'd stay away from. Pick what fits you best from the rest.

From all accts, the 3.7v 18650 2400 batt will last in excess of 16hrs. Just got mine in today, I'll try to remember to update when it dies.

GL!

eta - It's 11:pm now. I have had this batt in, excluding sleep, for 21hrs and it's still going strong. I used my SB @ 6v for about 1hr of that for my wake up time.... so really only 20. But I'm still using it! I'll edit again when it does finally die.
