I decided to grab some grape premium lorann flavoring. It came in 2 3ml bottles. WOW it's purple......are they a good brand or did I just try to make a really dark juice? I made it to the specs per the ejuice calcs with 15 percent flavoring.

2.3 flavoring, 9.6 vg (Wally World type), and 3.4 nic in vg ( 50mg per ml).

Is that like way too much flavor?

Any my way to fix the purple mess......or chalk it up to never use that dark flavor again.

Didn't try to vape after I saw how purple it was.....

Lorann flavors are really great. I've heard that walmart VG can have flavor issues because of inpurities and stuff, so I just stay away from it. LorAnn flavors can get really dark.. I did try to make a straight grape flavor, but it just didn't have the kick I was looking for- it's profile suggested that it would be good as an add-on to different primary flavor, but not a great stand-alone one.

LorAnn licorice, chocolate mint, pina calada, cinncmon roll, and any others that are more bakery or dessert styled are fantastic.

Pretty sure LorAnn uses dye in that particular flavor, which I would stay away from. I've ordered a grape from WL when I first started mixing, and IIRC it was LorAnn's grape. Different dyes were listed in the ingredients and the flavor was no good even as low as 3%. I'd just conclude that this grape is no good for vape purposes and either put it away for drinks or throw it out.

I bought some of that premixed before. It was awful ! Tasted like hair dye to me. I just ordered some Flavorwest Grape. I'll chime back in after I receive, and mix some.

I use the FW grape all the time. It's actually more like a grape soda type flavor. I like it pretty good straight up. It does have a heavy acetone smell when fresh and needs to vent a coupe of days.

Most LorAnn flavors are pretty good, you just have to strike a balance as some of them are much more concentrated than others. Some of them do have dyes and/or caramel color, though so do many other flavorings (whether listed or not). When you see Natural & Artificial, you can almost bet there's some sort of dye in the Artificial part of the flavoring.

It doesn't mean it's bad, it just means they put color in their flavors, just as some juice vendors put color in their juices. If you see your mouth or teeth turning colors from the dyes, I'd stop using it immediately as that's a pretty heavy concentration of dye which probably isn't good for you, but if it's not, you should be okay.

Unless you eat 100% healthy (no sweets, no soda, no [insert x here]), chances are you eat quite a bit of dye everyday :)

Grape soda! That sounds good. Think I'll try that. I have a couple FW flavors that are good.

Grape and custard. I would have never thought of that in.....well ever.

agree, it sounds strange but I love it,

It was a kind of intentional accident :D
Vanilla custard mix is an ADV since few months, and one day I had a protank with less than 1 ml of vanilla custard,
just for a change I filled the rest of the tank with FW grape mix that I sampled couple of days before, and loved it,
its now in the rotation,

and taste is subjective :vapor:
