I got some cherry juice from a non ECF vendor and it was excellent. I'm not sure what the mix was, but I vaped 50ml/12mg til it was gone. Totally pleasant, smooth and no candy taste. I suppose ordering across the border for more will leave me on edge with customs. Maybe a 4 hour drive to restock would be better.

Oh I forgot, Cignots "Basic" line was the only cherry Ive ever tried that tasted like true, pure, and clean cherries with absolutely no cough syrup flavor or any other funky flavors like wax or soap Ive had in cherry juices or flavorings. But, I dont know if they still sell it, I see they have cherry cola thought. Its all VG though, which I dont vape so my search continues..

PA's Black Cherry is excellent - just like the fruit, not like cough syrup or candy.

Sorry, I got lost in the thread somewhere -- PA is TPA?

TPA (The Flavor Apprentise) Black Cherry = Good?
FA ( Flavour Art Cherry = Good?
LA (Lorann's) = BLAH?

I was thinking about getting some Cherry flavor also, so wanted to make sure.

Loranns Naturals has a new cherry flavor which I tried in a cheesecake recipe. Not too bad tasting compared to their regular cherry. Also there is Natures Flavors organic cherry which tastes OK, but not as good as the Loranns Natural. Both need to be used in a higher percentage than the pg based flavorings. Next to try is Flavor Art's Cherry. There has to be a decent cherry flavor out there somewhere...I haven't tried TPA's cherry yet either.

Somewhere in a tub I have an excellent cherry flavoring, but I can't remember what vendor it's from now. I'll have to post tomorrow when I can rummage through my storage tubs here and not wake up my sleeping hubby. LOL I can tell you that DIY Flavorshack has a wonderful "Sweet Cherry" that tastes fantastic in an all or heavy VG mix! It HAS to be "SWEET Cherry" however. She has other cherry flavors but not sure this one is listed on the web site. You may have to request it using her custom mixer recipe order form. I discovered it when I was sent a 3ml bottle of it when I first joined this forum and received a ton of PIF gifts.

After mixing this stuff with Vanilla Frosting flavoring I was in total heavan and asked the person who had given it to me where I could buy it. Sadly I never could recreate that original mixture of Vanilla Frosting and Sweet Cherry like I accidently did the first time and now have bottles and bottles of failed attempts that while taste great if you like cherry, are not what I was shooting for.

In fact I boxed up a ton of stuff that I need to post on the PIF board. I'm guessing people assumed I was a taker and not willing to give back since it's been so long but I've been very ill over the past few months and have had surgery and several hospitalizations. My e-cigs came in handy there by the way. LOL I sat in my hospital bed vaping away and had my chargers with me and everything. LOL I'm feeling much better though now so thought I would peek in here! A severe case of insomnia tonight but I'd rather deal with that than hospitals and needles! Ugh!

Great to hear you are out of the hospital and doing better Darlene. Thanks for the DIYFShack tip, Dawn is a nice lady and I like a lot of her custom flavors. The pound cake is yum! I've been wanting to order some of the new ButterCream flavor so I'll check out the Sweet Cherry next time I order from her. I have a bottle of TPA Cherry Blossom here, it's a light Cherry flavor that does not taste too overpowering, I like it a lot.

Yes, Dawn is very sweet and her Buttercream frosting e-liquid is FANTASTIC!! But my new all day vape pretty much is her Gooey Buttercake! She had sent me small samples of each one and I was hooked. YUM!!! Also just checked and the cherry flavoring I was thinking of was DIY Flavorshack Wild Cherry :) I just spent another hour sifting through my stuff and pulling much more out to ship off to someone or a couple of people.

You like DIY Flavorshack's Expert Poundcake flavoring??? I ordered it AND the Coconut Poundcake (but I ordered the latter in a pre-made ready to vape e-liquid) and found both to be horrid!! The same strong chemical taste in both which I could smell strongly as soon as I opened the Expert Poundcake vial. I ignored it and figured once mixed with a PG\VG Nic mix it would be far different. Wow, was I wrong. I HATED it and even opening the bottle that I had mixed several days later (so it could steep) that overwhelming chemical smell almost knocked me over.

However, I have Fibromyalgia and am hypersensitive to odors, flavors, sunlight, heat, etc. etc. etc. so it could very well just be my over active sensory system. I'm also the only one that normally can taste the chlorination in city water and cannot drink tap water for that reason without it being filtered first. With that in mind, an almost brand new 7.5 ml vial of Expert Poundcake flavoring and I believe a 20ml bottle of the Coconut Poundcake e-liquid is also somewhere in one of those boxes to ship out to someone. LOL

I'm also sending the Wild Cherry because I mixed so many bottles of cherry and vanilla trying to recreate the first one I made on accident in the beginning when measuring and jotting down the recipes wasn't on my list of priorities. Sigh.... I often DIY my own e-liquids the same way I cook in the kitchen. By eye-balling everything then tasting and adjusting after it has time to simmer, I mean steep. ;o)

Yep some of the flavors from every vendor I have tried have that chemical smell. It's the alcohol they use in the base of the flavor. If I detect it I just let the flavor sit for awhile with the cap off and sometimes set it under a fan to speed the process of evaporation of the alky. I won't use the flavor in a mix until it's de-alked...lol. I know Fibro, my 19 year old daughter suffers from it and also juvie RA. It's heartbreaking to see her in such pain and not many of the meds they have tried on her are working. Lyrica does nothing for the pain, and the Selevia (sp?) is just too brain numbing...poor kid sleeps most of the day she is always so tired. It's hard.

Also got fibro, i'm taking amitriptylin 25mg, D vitamins, fish oil and eats a lot of protein.
Still have pains, but nothing compared to before.
Best part is that my muscles are relaxed and my body feel rested when i wake up.

I realize this is an old post but if you happen to revisit or others are reading and to clear up confusion on abbreviations, Rolygate has a sticky up top with suggested abbreviations for flavor suppliers.

Edit to add: I make a great chocolate covered cherry as follows
8% LO Super Chocolate
4% LO Super Cherry
4% PA Sweetener
4% PA Vanillian Crystal in PG

Cherry was one of the First DIY Flavors I tried to make with LorAnne’s Flavoring. I had no luck what so every. Everything I tried tasted like Chemicals.

That was about a Year ago. But as I got better doing DIY I learned a Couple Very Important things.

1 - Have to let a DIY “Age” for at least 3 Days.

2 – Too much Flavoring is a Really Bad Thing.

3 - Single Flavor DIY’s Seldom Taste Great.

3 – Some Flavors work Much Better with Sucralose than with EM.

Having learn this, I revisited LorAnne’s Cherry and made a 10ml Batch with a Drop of Pineapple, a Drop of Lime and Sucralose as Sweetener. After a week I tried it and it wasn’t Bad. Not Bad at all.

Taste is Extremely Subjective. But sometimes Initial attempts with a Flavoring can be made to work with a Slightly Different Technique.

I don't have LA or FA Cherry, but now you have me curious. I have heard a few good reviews on the Cherry in LorAnn's new Naturals line.

In the past I was using FlavorWest's Wild Cherry - like a Cherry LifeSaver, but it's not the same Cherry we're talking about here. Thanx for the reply on the % Q.:)

For me, the FlavorArt Line of Fruit Flavors have been Very Good. The Watermelon is just Plain Outstanding.

One thing I didn't like about LA Cherry was that it was Artificially Colored. I see No Need for Colorants in e-Liquids and would like to see more OEM's and Vendors using Colorant Free Flavors.

I haven't tried any of the LA Nature Line but will check it out.
