Hmmm... I found the decline in Blu sales figures interesting, by both unit volume and the dollar numbers. Spin it any way they want, the only grain of truth in there regarding the decline and fall of Blu was "...and was also negatively impacted by new national competitors’ launches during this year’s second quarter."

"New national competitors' launches" translates: people buying anything else but Blu.

The conspiracy, read between the lines, take on this is: If they can't somehow reverse the numbers - all the more reason for Lorillard to be in favor of any regulation that can do away with e-cigs to the deference of smoking.

The decline in Blu sales is because the product is terrible. That's where I started and moved on fast just like many others here. They don't know enough about how to make the quality product we vapors are after. A lot of us ex smokers need a lot more than a Blu cig-a-like kit can deliver.

It's interesting that you say that about Blu. That was my first experience back in early '09. They weren't good then and obviously they haven't improved much. I wasted about $200 on two kits and a bunch of cartos before moving on to manual battery 510s. Boy has the world of e cigs changed. Boy, Blu didn't.

In hindsight, the Blu's were horrendous. But "back then", not knowing any better they stopped a 3 PAD habit on the very first day for me. Granted, it was a struggle trying to extract enough nicotine from those tiny underpowered things but I'll never discourage anyone from using them to take that initial step. If anything, cig-a-likes like Blu serve as a gateway to better gear and a better vape that ultimately keep you off the real things. They do have their place.

I only discovered this "other world" one day when trying to find cheaper Blu cartomizers online.

I found ECF looking for cheaper Smoking Everywhere batteries. About 2 months later I had my first VV box mod and never looked back. I had been 3 months smoke free on the SE crap and will never regret the $1000 dollars I spent on them. It was still slightly less than my 3 pack a day habit.
