I mentioned in the first post that changing the e-liquid flavor fixes it (temporarily)... I don't know how that was missed. None of the juice is "cruddy." :?:

Still no real insight on whether this is "normal" vaper's tongue, something wrong with the tank, something else...

I don't want to just blindly buy tons of new equipment, I don't have a lot of money to spare and I've already dropped a lot on vaping stuff the past couple of weeks.

This is normal and you can expect it to be that way for up to 6 months. Make sure you are drinking water continuously through the day. What flavors you like today, will probably change over the course of the next 6 months or so. Yes, changing juice flavor frequently can help mediate the loss of taste, but it's still going to be there. All (well most of us) went through this process. good luck.:)

What battery you use? The battery always contributes to flavor irrespective of the tank you use.
What is your coil resistance?
Check the sheet and make sure you are in right spot. View attachment 391887

iStick... 1.6 ohm coil but iStick reads it as 1.7. Doesn't the battery just provide power, how does that affect flavor?

By the way, your image is unreadable.

You are making this way too complicated. As I stated in my last post, it's a normal process. A part of that process is usually having a few analogs dealing with it; I did and about everyone I know did. It can be frustrating, but if you truly want to quit smoking analogs, you will. Also, hold on to your wallet and don't go buying every new fangled item you see. Believe me, it's much easier today than it was 5 years ago.

This loss of flavor is very common & also very frustrating!!! I have vaper's tongue all of the time. But not only that, the first few vapes on a new juice & I love it. I never seem to get that back unless I let the juice sit in my juice box for months & try it again. Same experience as the OP. At first, there's the crust, the berries... It's all so good. Then, it's mildly fruity from then on. I switch flavors all of the time, suck on lemons, pickle juice, drink literally gallons of water a day. I think some of us just get sensory fatigue quicker than others.

I've always thought of olfactory fatigue as a blessing. In Nebraska, just driving by a rendering plant is enough to make you sick & people WORK in them. They don't have to smell it though. A gift from God, but not great for vapers.

I have 4 tanks with different flavors in them. a caramel cream, a tart apple, a chocolate and peanut butter, and a menthol. I start each day with the caramel cream and progress through the day changing out about every 4 - 5 hours, ending with the menthol before bed. The first hour or so on each is always the most flavorful, but each flavor is a sharp contrast to the previous one. Any time the flavors seem to be especially muted, I just pull out the menthol and vape that til the tastes come back.

Taste buds will "numb" to any flavor over time, and the only real solution is to rotate contrasting flavors.

It's normal, how's that for real insight?!?

    OK, don't laugh.
I had a wonderful first two months of vaping, and then, terrible vapers tongue set in. I could taste a juice for a few puffs and then - poof! - gone. I've tried every suggested remedy and upgraded my delivery system and nothing really got better. Then I saw a suggestion here on the boards.
The Neti Pot. Clears out my whole breathing and smelling system. I'm using it once a day and my experience has hugely improved.
I know a lot of people are turned off by the very idea, but it takes around ten minutes a day (including sterilizing with boiling water) and well worth it!
