Hi everyone,
I am befuddled, confused, and amazed how I can't seem to get my flash light mod to work. You'll see in the video how I use my BB w/ AFSv2 w/ 501 to 901 connector. I then take the afs w/ connector and hook it up to my mod and I get nothing, even though it shows 6 volts when I hookup the vu meter to it.

I show in the video how I switch things around but I get nothing. I can't figure this out for the life of me. Hopefully someone can see/point out the obvious that I am blind to apparently.

Here's the video:

Thanks!

The only thing I could think of is a defective battery - it reads voltage with no load but fails under load.

Try wiring an atty coil to the connector with meter leads and see what happens.
Also, have you tried another battery?

BTW - his meter connections were reversed - connector center pin is positive/red - that's why his meter was reading negative.

I'll order some new cr123a's ... anyone know of a u.s. supplier so i don't have to wait for the order coming from China? Plus, is there a difference between rcr123 and cr123a?

I'm having all sorts of weird tech issues ... I have a curse or something ... read about my other battery problem in post just after this one.

Weird stuff I'll tell ya!

I gotta take my pooch to the park ... she's been giving me that look for a couple hours ... will check back in a few

thanks for all your help!

There is a difference between the rcr123a and the cr123a. The rcr123's are rechargeable and come off the charger at around 4.2 volts, so you have be careful there.

The cr123a's are called primaries and are not rechargeable. They should never be recharged. Their nominal output is 3 volts each.

There are several US suppliers that I know of. Lighthound.com, 4sevens.com, batteryjunction.com, zbattery.com and batterybob.com. Prolly many more that are cheaper than buying them at a brick and mortar. You just have to check them for pricing and shipping.
