Sounds like something is shorted internally. Have you tried taking out the battery and re-inserting it (to let the board reset)? Does it show 0.0 ohms if you measure ohms (without a tank) too?

Since the Vamo is so new, you should probably try to send it back for a refund if this doesn't help.

Hi,

Yes I put in my put it shows 0.0 ohms with and without the tank on, I've contacted there customer support and he's saying it could be the coil. Getting so stressed out about this :( I took the battery out to charge it and about half an hour later put it back in for a 5 minute puff and that was when I got the low load error :/

Ah thanks to Go-liquid, they told me to take the battery out and hold the power button for 20 seconds. I did so and when I turned it back on it then displayed 9.9 ohms without the tank on, put the tank on and it works again. He said it was a software issue!

Awesome!! Glad you got it fixed!

I'm at work as well and I was getting really angry with everyone cus I was so stressed out that it wasn't working, I nearly went and had a cigarette :-( I was honestly getting in such a bad mood my hands were shaking :/ I'm using a aspire nautilus tank with a 1.6ohm coil in it. I had problems with liquid leaking out of the sides of the air flow holes as well. I can't seem to fix that though :/

Hello and welcome can't help with your question but I have a Vamo v5 and love it. No problems with it so far but only had it a week.

I'm glad you chimed in. I ordered my Vamo V5 yesterday after procrastinating for months. I was a little nervous when I started seeing some people's issues cropping up. :)

OP.. I'd suggest getting your hands on one or two cheap ego style batteries to use as backups. I've always kept my previous equipment when I move on to something new just in case something goes wrong with my new setup. And with 510/Ego threading.. its very easy to pop on an ego battery at work when your Vamo started giving you problems so you weren't nic-less at work. :)

PDJW...

Send it back. Seriously, the V5 should just work... everybody else's does/did.

or is it a tank issue?

I will send it back if the oring thing doesn't fix it. It's so annoying, gonna have to then be without a vape for a few days. Def not the tank as tried it with 2 different ones and it should read 9.9ohms if the tank isn't on it whereas it reads 0.0ohms

Thanks, it could be useful information for me.
I use vamo 5 for half a year without any problems so far, but who knows...

I ordered a few of these this morning after revisiting this thread.

I have a finicky Vision Spinner that it might help and a Vamo V5 on the reserve shelf that does not have the spring loaded pin like my KSD that may need this in the future.
At least I can with good conscience sell the back up V5 to somebody if the board is included. All the old style 510's from almost all makers seem to suffer from this eventually.
In the OP's case I would probably return it, for a refund and get an updated unit.

Nobody has mentioned this yet..

It sounds like your coil in your tank isn't secured in all the way. That would account for both the leaking, and the fact that your Vamo is not detecting the tank. Open up the Nautilus and make sure the head is screwed firmly in place. With the head, you really can't overtighten too much. It's also possible the coil itself (in the head) is messed up. If you have a spare head you could try swapping it out with your current one to see if it yields better results.

When screwing the tank back to the base though, you want to not overtighten as you can "squish" the o-rings (which may cause leakage), or even worse, crack the glass (which will DEFINITELY cause leakage).
