A few months ago when I started here I downloaded "the ECF break even calc rev 1 "

& I LOVE IT and every once in awhile I wanna pass it on to a newbie ,

but I can NOT for the life of me find the link or where I got it ........ anyone know where it is ??

It is just a microsoft excel spread sheet (seems easy enough to copy) but then again I have NO CLUE really  I had to have a "kid" show me how to enter new data

But...IT REALLY REALLY helps to list all purchases & see where I am $$ wise etc.,

when I feel the NEED to shop ! So I am SURE it will HELP others ....if I could just find it !

I'm actually working on something right now that may help- if I can get it to work like I want it to!

It's a linear programming model that you can feed constraints in to (such as "I use this much e-juice per day and therefore require X amount of juice per month") and it uses a series of complex calculations to tell you how much you should be ordering and from where, and how much money you will spend to satisfy your monthly usage requirements.

I've got a prototype of it working now (I actually designed it for a school project!), but it only compares various e-cig components from 2 suppliers. I just set my maximum spending amount to the cost of my old analog habit and, factoring in my usage constraints, it told me what quantities I should be ordering from each supplier and that I would be spending $59.16 per month versus the $165 I was spending on analogs.

When I get the model refined a bit, I'd like to have it comparing across multiple suppliers for every component, and I'm thinking of adding a "quality weight" to the formula (in other words, I like the liquid from supplier A better than supplier B, so the model will factor that in to telling me what to order).

Of course, the model can't account for the fact that I buy WAY more juice than I actually need, but oh well :p

Anyway, I'll eventually make it available to everyone on ECF once I refine it a bit (making it relatively easy for anyone to use will also take a bit of work)...so wish me luck!
