I love calculators like these. Always fun to see just what you've been doing with your money.

I was smoking Senecas from the reservation which was only costing me about $2 a pack. Give a bit in gas money every other week in my 14mpg pig of a truck on a 2 hour drive and it's a little bit more. My yearly cost for cigarettes is estimated to be around $1000. Not horrible compared to the pack-a-day smoker buying them at around $8 a pack (NY) at the corner gas station. I've pretty much blown half that much in vapeware the first month alone. Either way, as others have said, there's no price on better health. Been completely off analogs about 3 weeks now (started vaping well before totally quitting but don't really remember when) and I'm already feeling better.

The calculator has convinced my mother-in-law to try to give up smoking after almost 40 years of smoking menthols and try to e cig. Right now my wife thinks the calculator is worth its weight in gold. That isn't saying much because it actually doesn't weigh anything but you get the point. I can only hope she will stick to it.

I really LOVE this thing ....has helped tremendously ...
I am still obsessed with the oooo's & ahhhh's over the new stuff &
feel like I have spent way too much ,
which really isn't true compared to what I would have spent on analogs !

I broke even 51 days ago & have saved $406
So the calculator helps me to justify trying new equipment,
I still am not totally happy with what I have ,
I have 4 diff models & at times it seems I still can't get any of them to JUST WORK !!!

Still not smoking tho !! :vapor:
So it's all GOOD & someday soon I'll find the Perfect combo that will work well & be yummy !!

And I do agree that it is not really about the money , IT is about NOT SMOKING !!
But for those of us that get " HUNG UP ON " the money this is a GREAT TOOL !!

Thanks so much for sharing your genius with us ! :2cool:

It's a wonderful calculator, great work, but has some good and not so good for me.
The good is I've broken even and am even ahead of the game!! :)
Healthwise far, far ahead and never going back.
Not so good, I've saved enough that more serious shopping is in my future.
Now where was that site with those spiffy mods, (calculator says I have 80 days juice)
Oh, I remember, I have them all bookmarked......

I don't like your calculator because it says I have enough juice until 11/29/2011 and I want to buy more, especially since it said I broke even back in July of 2010.

Is there a way to add in the number of years of smoking to the equation? That would be an awesome statistic to mull over and imagine what I could have been buying with that money.

Seriously, your calculator is GREAT. So simple and does tell all. I did have to move the juice costs/savings over analogs down to the bottom because as I added all the suppliers I bought from, it kept getting really stretched out.

Thanks for taking the time make this available on ECF.

Gotta go now, watching the TW Yo-Yo sale on juice I don't need. lol

Thanks! Nice job on the calculator. But, from my perspective, no matter how much money I spend or save on vaping is missing the point. My real savings began the day I stopped analogs after 55+ years of heavy smoking - the cost to me doesn't matter. I've got my health back.

As a lung cancer survivor,I agree.35+ years heavy 3 pad habit now gone.I don't care about the $$ anymore, and with new mods always coming along,I know I'm not breaking even anytime soon !! :)

Very nice calculator and is fun to work with, but i dont see where it ads in the cost of the liquid for the days you have been vaping(analog free) or am i missing something here?

I see that too. It asks for information regarding how much you buy and how much it costs but it doesnt relate that to a time span of usage. Maybe someone can find some time to fix it.
