Hello everyone,
Yesterday i ordered my First Variable Volage mod, The Lambo v4. I've had a couple Egos and such but nothing fancy. This starter kit comes with a Vivi Nova 3.5ml tank and 2 replacement atomizers also. I have know idea what voltage each one takes and what my level should be. Basically what im asking is What voltage should i put it at if i like Big moist vapor clouds? Do i have to change voltage if i change atomizers? I really don't understand this resistance thing.
Thanks in Advance,
-Diego

Hello and welcome to ECF!

You will be changing your voltage around depending on what's attached to your device. As for actual settings.... there is no right or wrong answer to that question. That's the beauty of variable voltage, you can adjust it to your taste. And not be stuck in some preset voltage. Start off low and adjust according to your taste. If you start to get a burnt taste you've gone to far, just back it off a little. It won't take long and you'll have a pretty good feeling what tastes good to you.

Good luck and enjoy!!

Hi

While the temperature the liquid vaporizes at is certainly a factor in the amount of vapor produced, the vg level is the primary influence. The higher the vg level in the ratio, the more vapor; however, there is a trade-off. Vg is thicker than pg and will gunk up your wicks and carto filler faster and it's not quite as flavorful (in some people's opinion).

The Safe Vaping Power Chart is a good guideline for beginning vapors. It will show you a range (green zone) that provides the best vape for the resistance (ohm rating) of your delivery device and what range of voltage to use.

It's simple to figure out. Find the ohm rating on the left verticle column. Find a voltage in the upper horizontal column. Draw an imaginary line from both to the middle of the page and that will be your wattage. Just be sure that you stay within the green zone.

You'll find some flavors are better at lower voltages, and some to be better at a higher voltage. Each flavor will be different. Also, start at a lower voltage and work your way up until you find the "sweet spot" for that flavor.

what is a mod?
blue-chrome-ext.jpg478_0.jpggripper-mod-smoktech-18350.jpggripper_&_knucklehead.jpg

Basically, it's an advanced personal vaporizer (APV). A tube or box battery holder that uses replaceable, rechargeable batteries.

This is in contrast to the cigarette-size and eGo batteries which in of themselves are a battery.

Mods or APV's offer many more options to fine tune your vape, generally offer much longer time between battery changes, allow just changing a small battery instead of switching to an entire vaping device like an eGo or cigalike requires, and more options in the number and variety of juice delivery devices.

Cigarette stick batteries and eGo batteries have a finite life expectancy, then the entire unit must be replaced. A mod could last years and only need to have the replaceable batteries to be replaced. These batteries are much cheaper than the eGo batteries and last a year or longer.

Hey everyone, haha yeah first post. Not a newbie though just new to this forum (wow its amazing too, finally have my internet back). Been vaping for about 8 months now. Love the hell out of it. Its become one of my hobbies. ANYWHO....

Ive been researching Mods for quite some time now and all my friends have them. My friends are baffled as to why my long vaping .... has not gotten one of these for the VV/W reason. Well my gripe is with these they just do not seem practicle in the mobile world...meaning bar scene, party scene, walking around in general. Way to big and bulky IMO with some looking like boxes. That cant feel right in the pocket of your trousers can it? Main reason I still stick to my eGo...lasts just as long, can vari volt like the mods but can hang around my neck via lanyard or slip in and out of my pocket with ease. Hence the reason I am going to try that new KGO mod. You know the one that does VV but still has that slim sleek look.

On the bright side though I am going to get a few of these for around the house vaping and leave the eGo style batteries for on the go usage. I would definitley use the bulky mods for house/work play tho. Those style mods seem more of a stationary use anyways. I dont want to be seen with that boxey or double cylindrical (ones with extra batts) thing at a party or on the go for that matter but opinions are as good as a** holes...every one has one and they all stink.

Just my two cents and a little intro on my first post. love the setups guys and love the stories and analysis. Vape on!

@ Solid. Welcome to the forum. :)

I have big mods and small mods. I've used both out in public, in full view and in stealth (at the cinema).

There are plenty of small mods available, in fact most of mine can be easily hidden in my palm or fit in a pocket. Even these offer 8- 20 hours of battery time and hit just as hard as my larger mods.

Do you have the picture in some larger resolution? I can't really see the numbers even though I've tried to enlarge it.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Please, if you are going to show that chart all the time, at least don't give this kind of warning.
There are lots and lots of vapers that vape in the red zone without any issues.

I showed you a poll last time, and now I will suggest taking a look at this...

In case you're wondering, yes, that chart REALLY bothers me.
To put it quite simply, it is wrong.
