Lost my Grand #1 down by the campfire at the river tonight.:(

I can't imagine how it happened but it did. I took my metal detector down there in the dark and had zero luck finding it.
The river is only a couple hundred yards from my back door and I'm heading there again. Wish me luck.

God, I hate getting old and stupid. No luck with the 2nd pass with the metal detector. Don't like to spend too much time down there in the dark because there's fresh cougar tracks down there lately. There's a mighty slim chance that it'd bother me but.....there's always that chance. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow.

don't think aluminum will show on a metal detector, since not ferrous (???). dunno how much ferrous is in the rest of it, or would show, though.

i'd guess your best bet is daylight.

she found it! her friend asked the guys mowing if they had seen it and they pointed and said they threw it in that direction!

Yes, I have (had?) 2 Grands and a Woodvil. The Woodvil doesn't really count because I could never risk taking that beauty to work in the woods. It lives under my computer monitor and so it shall forever.

Sorry to hear that. I get upset if I misplace my Vamo around the house, let alone if I did it when I go fishing, or to work.
