So I'm confused... Trying to decide between the lost vape GRUS and URSA Quest.

I started out looking at the GRUS with plans on pairing it with my innokin zlide tank. Then I saw the URSA Quest and started thinking how I could use a "pod" system (another discussion).

I was really about to make a move on the URSA Quest given I could use their pods or my tank. Then, I just notice they have put out a UB Pod tank to be paired with the GRUS. Of course, given I am a MTL vapor, if I used their UB system I would be leaning toward the "UB Pod" instead of the "UB Pro Pod". Looks like that UB Tank will be targeting the UB Pro Pod tank.

Any thoughts on the GRUS vs the URSA Quest?

I have the Grus, it's a nice mod. I heard from a friend on here that has both mods that the Ursa fires stronger. I think the Grus is a little weaker at comparable wattages than some of my other mods, so his findings make sense to me.

The Ursa has that new LV chip that is supposed to be really good.

Sounds like they updated the chip on the GRUS. Says on the GRUS web-site "Upgraded Quest 2.0 chip". Wonder if that is the same chip your talking about.. Of course not sure how you would tell that you are getting the new version when ordering from a supplier.

Oh man, I didn't know they put the new chip in it. I have the first versions that came out and they don't have the new chip. Thanks for sharing that...

I guess your choice boils down to aesthetics and the pod system. @hittman did you hear the Grus now has the new LV chip?

Aesthetically, the GRUS does look to be sleeker than the URSA. I know the URSA is taller, but also looks a-bit more bulky. Pods do look to be different, the specs (although confusing) says 5ml for GRUS Pro Pod tank, 7ml for the URSA Pro pod. So, I guess they will be putting out different size Pods (e.g. GRUS Pods, URSA Pods). Thinking one advantage of the Pod system is having multiple with different juice.

I did. I read a review on it. The one in the review came with the UB Pro pod tank.

I have two of the G devices ( what is the plural of Grus? Gruses? Grusi? Grus? ) which I like for their simplicity, looks and feel in the hand, but I do agree that watt for watt some of my other mods do hit a bit harder. I have Zeniths on them with 1.6 Ohm coils.

I could be wrong, but I think Greese is the plural form for Grus. @Zazie probably knows... she's good at this stuff.

Just a note of caution about the Grus. The known bummers about the (original) v1 have to do with the board which is not only non-firmware-upgradeable (by us ordinary mortals anyway) but also reads resistance slightly below actual ohmage.

That's all manageable, but the serious caution relates to the fire button which on my v1 mod has on a few occasions stuck in on position and kept firing until I rushed to wiggle it loose again. Mine's generally at around 1.0 ohm and I use dependable batteries so it's not going to go BOOM! in an instant, but it's a worry alright. Especially with the battery hatch which I otherwise like, but which takes a moment to fully unscrew.

As far as i know the Grus has a 10S Over-time Protection,so knowing that you should be able to breathe a little easier.

As the fire button i have been using mine on a daily basis on so far haven't encountered that problem, could maybe be just some units from a bad batch that came out.
Read and watched a few reviews and never saw this mentioned,i may have missed but didn't really see any comments about this, but yeah a stush fire button is not cool.

P.S: Only thing i don't like about the Grus is that it doesn't show the volts when firing the device.
