Certainly some very disappointing news. Explains a lot of my difficulty in going above 20W, though.

I've reached out to Lotus to see if they can offer a firmware upgrade to switch from mean to RMS. Not sure it's even possible, but we shall see.

Time to start looking at new regulated mods . . . again.

I'm so glad I waited until some solid reviews came out on this device. My wife has been lusting after the pearl white version since she saw it a few weeks ago. The price point had me steered away at first, but now I'm sold on not getting it, purely because it would FRY her Subtank Mini coils. If Wifey doesn't vape happy, she smokes. I do everything in my power to prevent that.

I picked up this gem before all the reviews came out, and agreed... It's a piece of crap when it comes to any pre made coils. HOWEVER vaping it with my Veritas (1.7ohm) at 7-9 watts has been the best vape I've found to date. Battery lasts me a solid 15ml and vapes better than any mech I've owned, and much better than my IPV2.

You just have to think of it this way, it's going to double the output for a split second to warm up your coils.... so build beefy coils.

I just scooped up a purple Jellyfish & love it! I also have an iPV3 150w. With the jelly the trick is to vape at half the wattage as an iPv3. I've been running my Donner sub tank on it at 20w with no issues or burning out the coils. Down side DO NOT USE ANY OTHER CHARGER THEN THE JELLYFISH CHARGER on this!! You can fry the chip in it & if you use this charger to charge your phone the phone could fry due to the output from the charger.
