OK, FT started carrying the Lotus rda clone which is a mental rda and I had to try one so whilst waiting for it to wrap and wing its way here I thought to ask the question...

What is the best or most effective Lotus build as in coils, microcoils, use all three posts or just the one above the FC, does anyone have the lowdown on best builds and wicking? I saw Todd's review and poor chap looked a bit vapeblown after a blast with all ports open, I'm wondered what it will be like with me 36mg nic stuff or whether I should use me daughters 24mg weako stuff hehe

Lol. After seeing the clone on FT, I am starting to kick myself for NOT getting the original, now I may grab the clone until I see a real Lotus pop up in the classifieds...

Personally, I can't even handle 24mg in an RDA. When I drip, I have a selection of 6mg e-liquids. I've made myself nic sick with 24mg. Your experience may be wildly different than mine, but before I got my 6mg stock in, I kept a dropper bottle with VG in it to dilute my 24mg liquids.

I saw what you wrote about the nic's and have got some 6mg's for just in case, couple 10ml bottles just to test the water and if not strong enough can always go up rather than end up looking green gilled :)

Apparently there's one coming with the dreadnaught but will that be as potent as the Lotus?

Hard to say, but I'm speculating that the dreadnaught, being a 26650 mod, has the potential to out-cloud the Lotus. Paired with a good 50-amp capable battery and an ultra-sub ohm coil, it has the potential to go places you can't go safely with the Lotus.

As to flavor (which I chase instead of clouds), I can only say from my limited personal experience that big clouds don't necessarily equate to big flavor.

It was more flavour that made me go for something like this simply as I like the idea of a big flavour nic hit over a cloud hence why I will go for a three coil build which with the enhanced FC coil and two "maker" coils should see a very interesting vape.

I really want the look Todd had when he did it just on two hehe that "OMG" look slightly tinged with panic, sort of vape Chuck Norris would enjoy and seem worthy :)

These are the builds that have worked best for me. Built a tri-nano dragon and it's unreliable on this clone. The secret is you have to have the coils the same night as your top airflow. You need to get them up there so you can see them through the air hole. From there you will need to experiment with wick configuration to see what you prefer. The one thing I've noticed it very minor adjustment have a HUGE impact on the vape.

Nano coils, ok but not great.
