Hi Guys -

I just got my PV about a week ago and have been vaping non-stop since then :) I just started noticing today that my atomizer seems to be making a very loud crackly noise... It used to crackle occasionally, but you could hardly hear it. Now; its being much more "vocal." I'm not sure if this is just a sign I should clean it ... or something else. Oh - I also normally just drip, don't know if that makes a difference or not. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Is it gurgling? That means the atomizer is flooded. If so, take your atomizer off of the battery and put a paper towel around the end with the threads. Blow really hard through the other end. juice will come out of the threaded end and onto the paper towel. Keep doing that until no more juice comes out. Then wipe everything down, the threads, inside the top of the battery, etc. Reassemble and try again.

Sounds as described in a forum are hard to diagnose. Is it producing vapor adequately? If not it may be flooded. If it is producing normal vapor it's just the sound the attie makes when it's working. If it's producing more or less normal vapor don't worry about it.

ok then you might need to put a few more drops of liquid on it.. if it is poping LOUD it is on the brink of dryness .. if it is only popping a little bit and you are normally use to ecig type batteries.. then that may be just an indication that your PV conducts pretty well and your atty is getting more power than normal..

What PV do you have?

Popping without gurgle often means a dry atty. This is more audible on a cartomizer, but the rule is the same. If you are dripping and the atty is not flooded, as soon as you to start to hear the pops put a drop or two. Of course the dry pop is louder than a wet pop (funny words).

Now..a perfectly good atomizer makes an hissing sound when you release the button. This is most true on a LR or HV atomizer. It is the coil cooling down after a real good glow (the atty is not dry).
