first of all congratulations to all of you here for today! this is my first world no tobacco day that I haven't smoke in the past years, all thanks to vaping.
but this post is more of a rant of frustration...
I love vaping, much more than analogs and don't plan to go back ever, love every aspect of vaping, the equipment, the hobby the forum... but somehow I'm really stuck with juices. I've gathered a big stash of bottles from different vendors and my 2 all day vapes are just vapable for me! I have a lot of juices that on the first try I'm like "wow this is amazing!!!" then after the 4 drag I get bad gag reflex, put them to steep and just some become tolerable after a couple of weeks but most tend to stay there.

fruits = immediate sickening
chocolates = first try good, second sick
sweets = couple of good vapes and get sick again
unflavored = I can live with it but not my thing
tobaccos = here is where I am but 90% of my juices don't like and the rest just acceptable.
the best that I found are HHV serendipidy and Halo tribeca (but tend to mute my taste really fast)

regarding food, I love everything and could eat anything! so why am I a really picky vaper???

last week I spent $200 on DIY flavors, nic and equipment hoping I get better luck with this.

wish me good luck!

Wow! Two hundred dollars in one week? I hope you find something you like.

Couple of suggestions. Is there a bricks-and-mortar store anywhere nearby where you can go and try different flavors without having to buy them first? Two, you said you have two flavors that you can tolerate. What are they? Maybe someone can suggest other juices along the same line. (Not me because I'm not experienced enough but maybe someone else.) Three, figure out what you like about the two you use and research flavorings. Maybe you can come up with something similar but that you like better. Four - go back and try some of the ones you put aside. I bought five different eliquids that people here on this board liked. They were terrible. Really - truly bad. But then I put them aside ('steep') for a few days and they magically became pretty good. <grin>

(Without this board and learning about 'steeping', I probably would have thrown them away.)

If you can't find any diy, try this site out, they do a lot of the good tobaccos.. some you need to let steep, but dune rider is my fav!

My catalog - Items - Premium E Liquids by The Long Island Vapory

Keep trying, don't give up, I am sure something you like, will find you soon!

Stick with what you can live with. You'll find a juice you like/love as time goes on. It may grow on you.

You're still transitioning from smoking, your whole body as well as taste buds are changing and adapting. You'll have days where you don't taste anything at all. As long as you aren't craving cigarettes, you're golden.

Vaping isn't going anywhere (at least we hope not). As time goes on, try one or two a month. Give yourself something to look forward to instead of a table full of unvapable juices. I learned in the beginning that just because a flavor sounds good or you like the food, it may not always transition into a good flavor to vape.
Find a couple non-offensive basics and stick with them for awhile.

How long have you been vaping? When I first started several months ago juices tasted great the first week then nothing, went from wonderful to ugh...I could barely taste it, very muted etc. Then after a few weeks, it got better. But I found the later in the day the more muted the flavors got. Just now are things starting to get better but only a little bit. I just started really drinking a lot of water. I think it is something a lot of folks go through when starting.
Keep trying and drink plenty of water to hydrate.

Caridwen has it right, listen!! If you can't taste anything, try brushing your teeth, or sucking on a lemon, or eat spicy food. That's your tatsebuds!! (I forgot to say anything at all on that!) I went thru it too, and I know it is hard.. Is anything you liked eating bugging you too? You might not realize it, but whats happening is your tastebuds are getting blood flow to them and its causing them to change.. It won't last long, a couple weeks.. maybe 3 at the most.. keep reading this website and post if you need to.. there is a ton of us going thru the same things!

Because you are fairly new here are my suggestions. Pick some of the flavors you've tried and search out reviews of them. Try to find a couple of reviewers who describe the juices the same way they taste to you. What you are looking for is somebody with a similar palate. Once you find them, check out some of their reviews for juices you haven't tried. You might stumble across something that sounds interesting to you. You'll also be able to identify juices to avoid without wasting money on them.
The unflavored you mention, I do that sometimes when nothing else seems to be hitting the spot. The thing is I like my juices about 45% VG but if its unflavored the sweetness of the VG bothers me. I add FlavorArt's Bitter Wizard to get rd of the sweetness and its much better like that. If you got some with your DIY supplies give it a shot.
I don't really care to much for fruity flavors either but since dabbling with DIY I've found that its mainly because most have way too much flavoring for me. You might be similar, you can dilute juices with nic base of the same strength for a subtler juice.
What kind of device and attys are you vaping on? If your setup isn't right it can make just about any juice taste like crap.

Just a few things to maybe get you going in the right direction. Keep asking question, everybody will help you figure it out.

This may be really wrong for you, but for non-tobaccos since you said "sickening" I'm thinking that a minty, spicy flavor might help ease your transition - something like KickBass's Cinnamint - as easy to like as a stick of gum. It's sweet though - if that bothers you KBV would likely customize for you. But it's also a strong flavor.
Menthol's a good idea too, if you like it. Roar vapor is sort of the menthol king.
AIV teas might work for you, too. Very mild and subtle.

Way back when when I started a straight pear seemed best to me. Refreshing, clean and not too sweet. Try Copper Creek for that if it sounds interesting. Ahlusion juice is very very good and loved by many, not overly sweet, very natural.

If I were into tobacco I'd talk to Mr Mann in here, he seems able to help find a tobac for anyone. He's active over in the NET thread.

And what everyone else said about patience, for some it's all an acquired taste and eventually takes hold, usually big time. :)

My biggest problem also was finding juice I like. I have tons and bags of juices for vape meets and never touch them. I don't care for fruits, desserts, tobacco. That didn't seem to leave much else for me until I found out I do love vanillas. And then I finally found a vanilla that I love so much it is the one and only flavor I have vaped about a year and never tire of it. Maybe try some vanillas? Also, i do like some teas okay but not as much as vanilla. Just my :2c:

There are several good suggestions so far. It would help to know what type device you're using such as clearomizer, cartomizer, or what ever. What voltage or wattage are you using? Are you letting your juices steep (age)? Some juices, especially tobacco doesn't taste right fresh.

If you do decide on cinnamon or menthol, be sure to use them in a glass tank! Someone mentioned bacon. Let it be noted you can't get that taste out of your juice device. It may also permeate your house with a smell you don't want. There are a few juices I refuse to try, bacon, dill pickle, or jalapeno. Those folks are braver than me! Oh, yeah, hazelnut awful to me, but some like it!

You seem like a perfect candidate for Backwoods Brew to me. Don's tobaccos are pretty good without being over bearing. The one exception is the Casablanca to me. It's got a different tobacco base. You will either like or hate that one. But give his tobacco line a try. He specializes in it. I used that stuff exclusively until I began DIY. I still get it from him every now and again I just wish he'd make me a 50/50. The 70/30 makes me cough.
