Went up to the store the other day and saw that they had a squape clone with a glass tank. Given the fact that I had a kayfun (clone) at the time I decided against purchasing, and then this morning happened. I woke up put in a fresh vtc5 30 amp battery and the thing shorted out. I looked and noticed the block had moved so I adjusted the center pin/ air hole and block, tightened everything down again, put it back on the mod and the same thing happened. So being cautious and not wanting to vent my battery I decided maybe it's time for a new tank. The kayfun had gone to work many times with me, it's been banged around quite a bit, I've rebuilt it A LOT, so it's possible I stripped a thread somewhere or at one point over tightened the pin enough so that it no longer makes the proper connection to the mod and bypasses the entire rba altogether. I honestly don't give a crap, I got tired of that thing really quick and although it produced great taste, wicking it properly was somewhat of a chore, one which I've endured for long enough. I ended up buying the squape and ditching the craped out clone with a guy who said he could fix it (got some eliquid a LG 35 amp battery and a glass drip tip from the deal). I just got home after running around all day, did my first build clocked in at .8 ohms, fired it up and man I love this thing. Imho it produces taste on par with the kayfun I had, plus the non conductive surfaces are amazing, you can literally put the coil right on the deck if you wanted to. I don't regret the switch up at all, and this thing is going to see some serious use.

I am with pcporter on the Squape as well as the Kayfun. I got the Squape after seeing pictures of the deck, I thought it looked like a good design. Reviews say it is a finicky wick build. I have found it the easiest RBA that I own to build. The reasons are twofold. First is the non-conductive coating as mentioned above, it is a great feature.

The second, this is related to my age and eyesight, is the size and length of the coil screws. The head of the screw is relatively large making it easy for me to wrap the leg around the screw and trap it. Also, another feature of the mount screw is its length. It can be backed out far enough for me to see that the coil leg is fully engaged without it leaving the deck threads. The screws can be loosened with a straight blade screwdriver, and then use fingers to further unscrew. The slot is rather deep making stripped heads near impossible. Proper wick length seems the only critical variable but given the deck design, it is easy to learn.

The condensing dome stays in the tank of the atomizer when filling or rebuilding making the rebuild a little less messy.

Proper cleaning is not simply recommended, it is required. A stiff nylon brush over the threads will also help.

The vapor production and taste is comparable to Russian 91%, Taifun or Kayfun when using organic cotton or rayon. I used this Squape for around three weeks then bought two more. Incidentally, I use the Winsmoke (Kidney Puncher) and have no experience with any other brand.
