Hi there folks, got interested in e-cigs for a while. Saw this forum while searching for a good place to start. I hope that you would help me out on this one.

I am a hookah user for about a year. 3 nights a week (for 30 mins) was my usual routine. I work from home (Comp. Eng.) so going out for smoking daily have became a bit tiresome for me. Also, dealing with something else than drinking coffee constantly really keeps me from over-exhausting.

Looked at many threads and blogs but there are too many confusing slangs and types of e-cigs. I'm looking for an e-cig which gives a lot vapor (old habit from using hookah) for a price lower than 75 usd. I don't know the types but those box-mod ones look cool and practical. I don't know if there are non-nicotine liquids, but since I don't smoke normal cigs I would prefer something like that.

Checked few ones such as, I think they are popular too:
$39.12 iStick 50W Styled 4400mAh VW VV APV Box Mod w/SUBTANK Mini Styled OCC Clearomizer - 4.5ml / 0.5ohm (15-30W) / 5W-50W / 2V-10V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$44.79 eGrip 1500mAh VW Variable Wattage Rechargeable Starter Kit - 8.0-20.0W / 3.6ml / 1.5ohm / aluminum alloy + stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$56.97 Authentic Kanger SUBOX Mini Black Starter Kit - 1*18650 / 4.5ml / 0.5ohm / 7-50W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

What would you recommend? Should I buy kits or building it part by part is better?
And thanks for the replies, have a nice day! :)

There are no-nic liquids available at most vendors, just make sure under strength you choose 0mg/ml.

As for a device, I would recommend something with removable, rechargeable batteries, such as the IPV4, IPV3 Li, Sigelei 75w TC or a variety of other devices. For a tank, the Subtank works great and has replaceable coil heads so you don't have to learn to build coils. There's also the Atlantis v2, Arctic and a million other good tanks out there.

Hi Teytey. The iStick 50 watt you selected is a clone. Fasttech lists clones as "styled" and the real ones as "Authentic". I have 2 of the 50W iSticks and they work great but there have been some issues with others. You might consider the iStick 30 (2200 mah)w or the new iStick 40W (2200 mah) with temperature control.

The eGrip doesn't have enough power. I suggest a minimum of 30W for any mod, as it allows room to grow into sub tanks. 1500 mah battery isn't much either.

The Kanger Subbox (authentic) is a nice mod. The only issue known to me about them is the 510 pin (connection in battery to tank) is not spring loaded and has had some problems with tanks other than Kanger Subtanks. ALSO, it is recommended to get a separate quality battery charger and you will need to buy 18650 size batteries. (LG HE2 HE4 or Samsung 25R) for example are nice quality batteries.

As far as dependable and quality I would suggest the Aspire Nautilus Mini for a tank. I don't recommend a subtank to new vapers as the learning curve is steep, and they are more for lung hite/vape as opposed to mouth hits/draws. The Nautilus is great for a mouth to lung draw.
Good luck in your vape journey.

iSticks (eleaf/ismoka) are quite good.
The subox kit (Kanger) should be good also.

I don't like or recommend anything by Joyetech at all. If I had a $ for every thread I read about broken/non-functional Joyetech mods (Evics, egrips) I'd be a very rich man.

..which is kind of weird as in the UK Joyetech and Eleaf are the same brand more or less.

I'll check out those liquids. Thanks for the detail. (0mg/ml)

I don't have Li-Ion batteries right now but I do have a SkyRc battery charger. It should be able to charge Li-Ion batteries if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for the Styled/Authentic warning.
So what mod should I buy if I get tank separately, such as Aspire Nautilus?

Joyetech is a no-go, noted that. :)

Oops, double post.

Sorry for the double, I couldn't move the other thread by myself so I've opened a new one. Like you said, this part of the forum is much more lively. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum. Go with any of the higher power mods with a subohm tank. That Subox kit is all inclusive except for a battery

Thanks for the info, I should buy mods with atleast 30W power as I understand.

Thanks again! Such a friendly and helpful forum. :)
That combo looks good. I'll probably go with it. As I understand, I can change the Clearomizer later if I want too.

With the mod (iStick) being 40W all you need is a Subtank to try Sub ohm vape. I would suggest the Kanger Subtank Mini when you get to that growth. I'm a firm believer in walk before you run, and it's quite possible the Nautilus will be everything you desire. I have both and use the Nautilus every day, and it's my most trusted not to leak tank.

I totally agree with you, I will order and try them as soon as possible. If I like it, I will get subtank later.

Such a shame that e-cigs are banned in my country. I would love to see those beauties personally. :(

So, my final order looks like this:

Nothing is missing right? That's all I need I think. :)
