I am just getting into VV. I have a Vamo V2 and today got a sigelei Vmax mini.

Lots of my rba's (mostly AGA T2's) display a LOW on the devices. I know this is because the resistance is too low.

1.1 and 1.2 ohms.

I'm just wondering why the devices will not work with such a low resistance.

Couple of questions.
1. Will they not work with low resistance to protect the circuitry in the device?
2. Am I at risk for damaging my batteries when using these low resistance RBA's on my mechanical mods?

It just so turns out I've always been winding my AGA's with 5 wraps of .28 kanthal. Don't really want to rebuild them all.

1. Every VV/VW mod has a protection circuit that will not let any low resistance atomizer be fired.

2. You risk damaging batteries when the battery does not support to fire the resistance of your atomizer on a mechanical mod. Each battery has a specific amp limit that it will fire safely. The lower the resistance on the RBA the more amps it will draw from the battery. I suggest researching the specs of your battery to find the continuous and pulse discharge amperage. From there you can figure out what resistance build is safe for the battery. (most will say to stay at 60% of the limit to give you a safety cushion just in case the resistance will fluctuate due to usage/gunk build up/quality)
