low load

I purchased some 2.4ohm made for evod heads then decided to use them in my protank, well my vamo is giving me message low load .1ohm when i check it.
can anyone tell me whats going on ?

shorted out?
check for clean connections
check the coil for clearance at the ends/sides of the coil base
