Okay, first and foremost. Credit for this goes to huffheinz and misterD. The two of them helped me A LOT, in fact the charger was completely stolen from huffheinz.

This box runs on an 18500 battery. It has a master on/off switch. It has a momentary switch. Inside it, there is a charger pcb (the plug has a usb cord to plug into my computer). Also, it is a top feeder, using a 10ml bottle. Plus the whole LED thing (unit on: blue, monetary switch activated: red).

The objective of this mod was to make it as low maintenance as possible. I'm too lazy to take out the battery every night and charge it on the charger, get up and put the battery in. Now, I just plug the whole thing into my computer, and I know it will be charged by morning (8 hours to charge an 18500 with a 200mAh charge). With the 10ml bottle to feed the atty, it's safe to say the only maintenance needed on this would be once every 2-3 days to refill the bottle.

The charger power jack is stolen entirely from huffheinz as well. It's a size n DC power jack. I could have used a mini female usb I liberated from an old portable cd drive, but I decided I liked the look of the DC jack better... Idk why.

Now, misterD WILL criticize me for not just making a seperate charger cord so the same one could be used for any mod that has the power jack in it... So before the picture, I will mention, that is what I will be doing next. I have another charger I'll mod once I find another cord to use.

EDIT: More pictures will be up later tonight when the epoxy is done drying.. Didn't want to take a bunch with the epoxy still in it.

hey, lazyboy!!!:p do you have the charger behind the batt?
is this a new box or an upgrade to your previous one?
:toast:
instead of plugging it into your computer, couldn't you use a wall wart & charge a little quicker?
hey, sci! i think the charger output is what it is!

Looks great jiff. Is that a 2x c-cell box? What charger circuit is that? Those 18500 batteries are pretty nice. Ya know, instead of plugging it into your computer, couldn't you use a wall wart & charge a little quicker?

Yep, it's a 2x C box. They are a pretty good size, small enough to be comfortable but big enough to cram a lot in there. It's the charger circuit from a 510 usb charger.

Now, as for the wall idea, that's one I was tossing in my head a couple nights ago. I have an old cell phone charger that I could probably mod the cord to fit the dc plug on the end of it, and I think that itself could be used as a charger. I checked the spec's on the back of it, and the spec's on my trustfire batt charger, and they are identical. That's an idea I may be utilizing in the future.

misterD: It's a new one. I had the parts to construct it.. I'm not one to adjust what I have I tend to start from scratch til I get it right. And yes, the charger is behind the battery... I have more pictures that supposively sent to my email but have yet to arrive there yet.

:toast:

EDIT: @sci: Yes, I love the 18500s... They easily last a day, but are smaller than 18650s and therefore so much more versatile on what they can be used in.

So here are some pics... The charger LED turns green when it is fully charged, and the other LED turns red instead of blue when the momentary switch is activated... Now, looking at the inside of this, it looks like I still have room to fit something else in there. Ideas anyone?

Hmmm, a 3ml bottle of a different flavor?
BTW, you can squeeze an 18500 in a 9v box.:)

That's good to know. Could use the 9v box as a nicostick with 700mAh more than the 14500 nicosticks.

EDIT: I just checked, a 3ml bottle would fit in there too... hmmm... Not sure where to go with that since a T tip definately would not fit as well... Maybe just a back up flavor stored in there... Since I hollow out the cartridge on my boxes it would work okay to drip in.

I find hollowing out the carts with feed mods improves the amount of vapor... Not quite sure how it works out, but it seems I'm getting more with a hollowed out cart.

Yeah, makes sense. I've charged some regular e-cig batteries both ways & it seemed that the A/C was faster. Maybe because it wasn't sticking out of my laptop in constant sight.:)

Just like how they say if you watch the water it will never boil.. :)
Funny story about that... When I first started dating my girlfriend I was cooking over at her house... I put a pot on the stove to boil some water for something, and I kept checking it every few minutes for half an hour before she told me that burner didn't heat up all the way and I should be using a different one.

DOH.

It took her a half hour to tell you? Didn't you wonder why she smiled & suppressed a laugh every time you checked the pot?:)
