The shorter version has got to be better. I have one of the older one and I am not pleased with it. I also don't like the brass because it is heavy and has a metal taste. I think the shorter version also has a bigger hole. I would prefer the alumimun rather than the brass. The ones made out of delrim may be better even though I have heard a negative review but these are a bit cheaper. I assume they are just too new for them to be perfect.

I prefer the shorter version, cut out any juice getting into mouth, the older brass version (with smaller hole) would do that at times, but learned to drip on an angle from abt an inch away so it drips fast n gets dow to the atty....the taller ones and shorter ones both now have bigger holes
but I DO prefer the shorter ones overall 
Been using them for the past couple of days and am really liking them now! I think it was just a slight learning curve and that they had to break in a little. I heard that Puresmoker and TW will start to carry them for cheaper and also heard Drew mention that the price will go down shortly.
