This brings back memories. I don't believe it is isolated to any one color of atty. I used to have this problem back in the days when I used cartridges and before I was using Liberty Flights. I think this is something that happens with every supplier and every LR atty. I've had it happen with regular 510 atty's.

I have no way of knowing if my theory is correct, but I theorize that some atomizers burn hotter than others and melt cartridges. I never liked the idea of vaping burning plastic so I went to dripping. I use a metal drip tip. Problem solved.\

Wish I could be more help, but I truly believe this is just one of those things that some atomizers do. Maybe we hit them too fast - back to back - and the atty gets too hot. Maybe we need just a bit more juice in them. I don't know. I got tired of trying to figure it out.

Happy vaping,
Paula

hey paula - thanks for the response. perhaps it is a bad atty? i'll talk to them today and see if i can get it exchanged.

on another note, i have wondered about the drip method and have it on an order that is 'on deck' at liberty flights. i'm just waiting for them to get some cartomizers in. as you can tell, a total noob here and want to figure out what i like best. the thing about the drip, it looks to me that it would be easier/faster to try different flavors (which is another adventure in itself, eh?) w/o the hassle of having to use so much e-juice just to sample a flavor - or maybe i have misunderstood how to use the drip???

however, i will say that of all the flavors i ordered on the first round, i loveLoveLOVE the fennel the best.

I think you have pretty much nailed a couple aspects about dripping.

You need to prime new atomizers, just like you do now. Blow it out. Drop a couple drops of juice on the bridge, puff like a cigar. Repeat. That should get the primer junk out of the atomizer.

I drop my juice directly on the bridge of the atomizer. Sometimes when I drip through the drip tip I end up with juice in my mouth. Now I am in the habit of removing the drip tip before dripping.

Usually drip 3 drops of juice.
Vape until I notice a change of taste.
Drip 3 more drops of juice.
Vape.

I clean my drip tips with water and a cotton swap. They have a rubber seal on them and I don't think an alcohol bath will be good for the rubber seal.

No diddling around with poly fill or blue foam fill. No melting cartridges. Grab your juice & your PV and your are all set. Easy & Fast. True, Pure, Consistent flavor is the reward. You will not believe how great some of your juices taste. The juices you like now, will become awesome when you drip them.

Glad to read you are willing to give dripping a try. It takes most people awhile before they are willing to try it. And it is not for everyone - BUT - a whole lot of us love to drip.

Happy Vaping,
Paula

I didn't get a Drip tip when I got my Lr atties so I took a empty cartridge and cut about a 1/4 inch off just leaving the lip that slides in the atty! I use it to drip! YOu can do that till you get a drip tip!
Also you may look in the atty and see if the bridge is leaning more to one side than the other! They do sometimes! You can take a pair of tweezers or small eye glass screw driver and push it "GENTLY" i repeat "GENTLY" and center it up some! If it's not centered it will be to close to the plastic cartridge! Also make sure you line up the flat part of the cartridge to the shape of the bridge!
I want my LR atties to run hot as that's kinda the point of low resistance!

Paula is pretty much right... again.

I don't think cartridges can really keep up with LR atties either. You could try trimming it a bit, or adjusting the alignment with the bridge, to see if that helps.
A drip tip is probly the way to go. Get a pack of BOGE 2ohm cartos while you're at it. You wont regret it.

I am working on getting a new style of cartridge in, which should alleviate this issue across the board.

I am so very pleased. I got my order from liberty flights yesterday which included A drip tip. you are so absolutely right paula-it really opens a world of flavor! I had a couple juices from my first order that I was not fond of, but it's a whole new game when dripping them. thanks for telling about this! and as always thanks much to liberty flights for the great customer service and speedy shipping!

Glad you gave dripping a try and glad you like it. I know I had some juices that were 'so-so' but really came to life when I dripped them. Thanks for the update,

~~~Happy Dripping ~~
