Is it possible to lower the ohms in an eGo-C atomizer by cutting the coil down a bit? Has anyone tried this? The reason I ask is because I bought LR atties from eCigsupply.com, they are measuring out to be around 1.9 ohms. My SR atties are around 2.1- 2.2 ohms detecting a difference is very difficult. I want something in the 1.5~ 1.7 ohm range. Does anyone think it is possible? I have all the tools required, I just don't want to destroy any atomizes if I someone knows that it is impossible to do.

I've heard several reports of 1.5 attys killing egos. If you have the cheap one, they won't have short protection. Used to be suppliers said not to go under 2.0 OHMs on ego- especially 3.4volts. Many use down to 1.6, 1.7 safely tho.

The Twist will do well with 2.0, 3.0. No real need to go lower when you have 5v available.

Haven't heard of anyone recoiling that kind of atty. Probably doesn't allow for it. rba's are cheap now.

If you absolutely Have to use the 1.5 on a 3.4 ego, try to have it fully charged first and then don't run it down too far.

Thanks for all the replies, I don't think I am going to try it.
About the voltage in my eGo-C, it is 4.2v fully charged, 4.0v~3.9v once the LED turns sky blue, and 3.8v~3.72v once the LED turns dark blue. It uses a lithium polymer battery and it is a genuine Joyetech eGo-C 650mAh battery. If you get voltages down around 3.4v you have a fake Joyetech, or a ruined battery.

Edit: I tested both of my batteries with the atties load applied to it. So these are accurate voltages.
