Hey all,

I have a dual twisted 28ga coil wrapped around a 5/64" drill bit, 6 wraps each. I've been using my MVP2 as an ohm reader, but this build reads "R 0.0" when I check it on the MVP2. I double checked for shorts, but didn't find any, plus the MVP should read "NON" if it's shorted right? I took my chances and pulsed the firing button and it did fire - nothing dramatic happened, it looked like all my other builds when they fire.

I checked the MVP with a carto and it read correctly. I guess the MVP is rounding down, but the lowest resistance I've read with it was 0.3, so I donno when it rounds.

Does anyone have input? Or does anyone have a similar build and can tell me what their build comes out to?

And of course, until I find what resistance this build is, I'm not using it.

Thanks!

Yea I wouldn't rely on an MVP or even a Provari as my primary Ohm reader. A good multi for both atomizers and batteries goes for 15 bucks on ebay. Its worth the buy. And even though you may be able to get down to .8, like Gabiano said, you may not be able to get nearly as much power/watts from a limited device as if you went with a 1.6 coil or so. I would suggest a mech mod and an ohm reader which would come to a total of 35 bucks which will vape better than an MVP 2 anyday IMO.

I started dripping on an MVP 2 and I loved it for tanking. The thing lasted forever! I DO agree though that the reader is questionable other than a short identifier. The only way I was able to "drip" with my MVP was to hold the button in 9 second increments at full tilt about 3 times...great for tanks/coils down to 1.5 and one solid battery life. But if you want to drip, grab a good mech mod, pick up an ohm reader, and go to town.
