Was this good for my Lr Atomizer?

As soon as i got the Lr Atomizer, i took out the wick because i am dripping with it.

After a few hours, i started getting the same burnt taste. So after about a day hoping it would go away it never did.

So i de-bridged the atomizer and checked the coils and got some loose wick string by the coils. Then i soaked it for about 8 hours or so in alcohol, then washed it out with tap water and dry burned it.

Then i flooded it with juice, and now it is working completely fine. The burnt taste is at a bare minimal in which it is not even recognizable.

Was this a bad idea of doing this to the LR Atomizer?

I don't suppose it was a bad idea if it worked. I don't bother with dewicking or debridging. I don't think it makes that big of a difference, it's too much trouble and if you mess up the debridging then you've just lost an atomizer. I'd be more inclined to say that the reason for the burnt taste was either not blowing it out enough before using it or gunk on the coil. Just so you know...I've heard that the wicks don't get burnt. They just get gunked up with juice over time and that's why they seem to turn black.

Yes and that is why I like to do dry burns on the coil after cleaning and drying a atty.

OK Smiley. Some conjecture since you didn't say what device you are using the LR on, nor the ohms.

I assume 1.5 ohms. Also assume std e-cig (3.2/3.4 volts). Could be a std 510...or eGo....

Some juice... citrus flavors in particular.... burn easy in atties. LR's in particular. Even when dripping. About when you'd use up the 3rd drop... yuck. Then you have to drip by twos and keep it real wet. lol.

If you are using a Riva, or a 3.7 volt mod. LR (1.5 ohm LR) is a bit too hot. Can get burnt juice that way too. If so, try 2.0 ohm LR.

Good work cleaning it out. LRs are touchy to dry-burn.

I agree with the comments above about not bothering to de-anything.
