So, I have my eGo... I have my LR atties and standard atties...

I just had my first LR atty DIE. No warning, nothing. Just doesn't fire, at all..
I had been using it for about a week. Direct drip, always making sure it was wet. Never dry burned....

Just died??? Is that "normal?"

I've seen the phrase atties last anywhere from 6 minutes to 6 months.... but only a week?? Makes me sad. :(

That's normal. Atomizers can just up and die suddenly. Standard atties tend to last slightly longer than LR but that's because they (LR ATTIES) tend to burn hotter. That's not to say that with proper care they can't last a long time, but as a general rule they do burn out quicker.

Clarification for those that might misread: see bold LARGE text in the quote.

@ Glitched,

Try 2 things before you chuck the Atty, make sure the bottom center pin isn't pushed in and shorting it out, carefully pry up that center pin just a smidgen. If that doesn't work, take a pair of pointy tweezers if ya got them or something like, and move the bridge to one side, very gently push the wire in the cup down just a smidgen on one side then try it, if it doesn't work try the other side and try it, I leave my Atty on while I do this and only push the fire button for a split second to see if I hear it fire, be careful if you don't know what your doing you can short your batt, may be safer to take it off and do this for you, but move that wire around just a little but, I get Atty's to come back that seem to be dead an awful lot by doing this.

Safest thing to do is test it's resistance with a meter, if its 0, you have a dead short, if so there's nothing you can do. If its way higher than it should be, you might be able to clean it. If its close to what it's supposed to be (around 1.5 ish?) then maybe its not making a connection.

I've had some LR attys last 2 days, but some last a month. You just never know with LR, that's why a lot of vendors sell them with a DOA only warranty :(
