I'm looking at getting a "small as possible" device to pocket. I'm thinking 400mah eGo with the smoke mega dual coil LR (1.5 or 1.6 ohm) atty. I see most sites say not to use these attys with smaller than 650mah eGo. I've used them on my Twists (650 and higher) without a problem. Is this unsafe? I still have a bunch of 808d stuff laying around but it's really not enjoyable since I started using VV stuff months ago. Is there some other small alternative I should look into?

I advise against using 1.5Ω dual coil atties on mini eGos for several reasons. A small capacity battery will be drained very fast by an LR atty--it's not unsafe, just not practical. Also, please remember that using a 1.5Ω DC atty is like using two 3Ω coils at the same time--you'll get more vapor, not more power. It's not worth it, IMO. DC cartos require twice the voltage than single coils do to achieve the same wattage. Get some single coil LR (2-2.4Ω) cartos and you'll get a warmer vape and extend battery life--win-win.

BTW, please remember that mini eGos are true 3.7v devices--they are not Joyetech 3.3v regulated batteries.

Most vendors caution against using an LR atty on batts at 320-380mAh and lower - this puts it out of the range of regular 510, 510xl, and mods using the 10440 batt - and, imo, that's a good idea. Other vendors will say no lower than 450mAh. I have a 450mAh mini and have used the 1.8Ω T3 on it without a problem. I fried one 650 Riva with a 1.6Ω dual coil. Others have used them successfully but Joye batts only like Joye lr attys - 1.5-1.7Ω (LR 510, the LR Mega's, and the LR t and c atty/tank systems) and there have not been good results using other products. Don't know exactly why that is. And Joye has no minis... ;) So I'd stick with 1.8 and above, no dual coils and get the 450mAh rather than the 400 - it's only a mm longer. 400 = 59mm; 450 = 60mm.

A 450 with a Baby T3 is pretty compact:

Third from left - next to on the right a 650mah eGo with a regular T3. Regular Joye 510 to the left.
