Why do my atty's seem to die after I clean them? I soak them in hot water for about 5 min. and then dry them with a hair drier and then dry burn them to finish drying. I just had the two I cleaned today die on me. This is getting very annoying!!!

Might be be a little over aggresive on the dry burn. They really do not like a prolonged glowing orange burn.

I don't bother really cleaning my LR or HV atties. I just blow them out real well at least once a day and if they REALLY need it, then I'll rinse them under hot water in the sink and let them dry overnight. I don't do dry burns because I think it just decreases their life span and, as you've already experienced, if it isn't done just right, you'll end up killing them.
