Wasn't quite sure where to ask, but I'm sure someone here has answers :)

I've got a few LR mega 808's and I'm wondering if it's ok to use them on 78mm (280mah) batts. I seem to remember posts around ECF about how this kind of thing can destroy mosfets, or at least hasten the death of a little batt due to the greater current draw.
I do have a couple fat batts (GoGos (1300 mah) w/ adapters) I can use if this is the case, so it's not a big deal...
I'd guess that neither the LRs nor the regulars would be too good on a 5V passthrough?

...really enjoying these regular megas! They just keep going and never seem to drop in performance.

LRs were designed to be vaped on LI Mn (Lithium Manganese (IMR)) batteries which are also known as high drain batteries = can withstand high current draws. However, many have and are vaping them on whatever. Is it recommended? No. Some accept the trade off of a shorter battery life in exchange, some simply do not know any better.

Thank you for the responses :) Did some research on my own as well, though batteries are not something I wish to study extensively! I think I'll just use these on a 3.7v passthrough or wait until I feel the need for a mod. Or on a single fat batt to limit possible damage to one item... I guess I'll just cross that bridge when I need to :) I'm in no big rush to use these.

Wow 5card, you're No 8 in the post count list. Looks like the GG guy has you by about 3500 for #1. That's impressive! I can see why you got your title :)
