I just felt so guilty what with so much I have learned here without ever needing to even ask a question. A positive of that is getting through my baby vaping stage without folks needing to answer the same questions asked before for the millionth time. I just either browsed about here or google searched the site.

I really only delayed joining because I haven't had net access on my computer for over a year and browse on my cell phone. Didn't like the thought of typing out posts with one finger, like I'm doing now.

I think my favorite time on the forum was when I spent weeks reading through both the burning carto and great big RY4 threads. It was as if I was spending years experiencing the twists and turmoils of the vaping lives of kind of a sometimes disfuntional, sometimes functional family. I found myself rooting with the other posters for the return to health of those who were sick, and laughing along at all the zainy nonsense that got posted from time to time. Great fun!

Me? I started vaping last June 10th because having been unemployed since mid October I didn't see any way I could keep buying analogs. Little did I know what I was getting into as it's become such an enjoyable hobby. And I hadn't even given a thought to quitting smoking but I had only 8 cigarettes my first week and none since. This, after smoking for about 35 years.

No pangs, no cravings. This vaping is just incredible. And I taste food and smell stuff that's smell-able.

Still financially in ruin here having lost my condo and stuff, but being able to say I don't smoke, I vape is such a great feeling. So there really is a bright side.

I've journeyed through rn4081's for the first 4 months to kanger protanks to smoktech pyrex dct's to my current try of the vision v-fate nova. Got the 1.5 ohm dual core going in there and boy, that's a hot vape!

I rotate between 2 vision spinners, an innokin itaste vv v3, and still rotate in 3 aquavaporcig (think they're slb) classic rn4081's with their cartos.

Heh, I did try the 510 cartridges and atomizer with Grimm Green's teabag filler method too, but honestly that was the only fully unenjoyable vaping I've done! The 510 atty handles dripping nicely though.

Thanks to all for all the teachings! This darned phone keyboard is a pain but I still hope to post here and there.

Welcome to ECF. We are so glad to see you here posting. I think there are a lot of us who lurked for a while before deciding to join in. Not smoking is a wonderful thing. And to quit so enjoyably with vaping is amazing. Keep posting and exploring. Join in on the fun over in the contests area. You may win yourself some new equipment or juice. Great informal place to meet other ECFers too.

Congratulations on your success with vaping.

Thanks for the good wishes and warm welcome.

Major move shortly, from the east coast to the panhandle. I'm lucky that some of these foreclosures have surpluses. Gonna take that and temporarily ”visit” my sister. Here's hoping for better fortune on the job/home hunting over there.

Back on the ecig track, whoo, definitely not gonna be buying any 1.5 ohm coils. Hot, hot, hot! Just on 3.3 volts I blew through 3/4 of the 3.5 ml of eliquid. No thanks. The taste wasn't burnt but way too smok'n warm to the point where it just wasn't pleasant even with all that vapor. I went ahead and warm soaked the other 2.4 ohm coil, primed it up with a drop of juice on the coil and one on each wick, filled the tank up, and 10 minutes later back to semi-normal vaping.

I say semi-normal because it's still warmer than both the protank of course since the vivi's a top coil, as well as the boge f16 cartos I use in the tank. It's different, but nice still. Three months mostly using the protank got me used to the cooler vape. This is more like the cigalike, just richer of course.

So the 1.8 ohm coil is likely best for both the single and dual core for folks using these little ego batteries, vv or not. I've got to use up my charge on at least the 4.4 setting to get 8 watts on the included 2.4 ohm coil. The ego should really be used between 3.4 and 4.1 to not wear out the battery before its time. What was Vision thinking putting these coils in with the v-fate kit?

Thanks again all and happy vaping!
