if it's the place you're thinking of (not the place i got the rather disappointing 500-mAh clone (only charges 2 401's and is not a smart PCC which means it will discharge from leaving a batt on the charger too long), it is Smoore product but they said they're waiting on them too and are taking pre-orders. also the product in question has a name and graphics that give it a Black-and-Decker kinda look, too much "charger" focus and not enough "sexy". i don't like the generic Smoore graphics either, but unless Shawn does custom cases that are black and have his logo on it, i'll be airbrushing my own graphics on it.

the place in question also states that there are separate models for the manual and auto 401's, as well as special ones for the 402, and that none of them were compatible with the other models, which seems odd and which i doubt. i'd think the 401 case would also fit 402s, and that the 401 manual cases would also fit an auto, but we'll see when Shawn gets them.

Shawn, have you heard anything from the factory about all these separate models?

The 510 PCC I received has no graphics of any kind on it. It is black, though. I'm thinking about putting my Fire Department patch on it though, as we have small stickers for the tools with the patch on them. Just gotta find the box of them around here.

I got one of the M402(the page focused on the M401 when I ordered it) PCCs. It now says M401/M403 compatible. Yes, you can charge an auto 401 with it, but you can't close the lid while you're doing it. I'm about to dismantle it & see if I can fix that. If not, I'll see if I can at least use the battery with the other M401 PCC(the 500 mah one) I got.
I'll not be ordering any more from anyone but Shawn. Impatience does nothing but empty the pocket.
SS...

hey Sc-, does your M402 model fit an assembled 402? i'm guessing not, if it won't fit a 401 batt.

likewise you probably can't "cheat" and squeeze an assembled 403 into the "401" model, if that model's the same size as our cheapy 500-mAh boxes. even a 403's about a centimeter too tall. you'll see the dilemma with the lid once you get into it: a taller lid will cover as tall a cig as you want, but the hinge will be too low to clear it while closing, so you're looking at either a raised hinge (tricky) or cut a flap in the front of the lid which can flip up during closing. the quickie solution would be a slide-on lid at the height of your choice with some stuffing material everywhere but over the assembled cig slot so things don't fall out of their slots (you'd need to do that to any modified hinged lid as well).

let us know what you come up with!

and yeah, Shawn's got things pretty well covered and the universe usually punishes you for straying.. i think he's got elves out there checking on us, specially round this time of year ;)

I haven't got a 402, so I can't say for sure. Diameter-wise, the 401 fits, height-wise, you can't close the lid while charging. The case is actually 1/18" taller than the 500mah case-go figure. People are begging for a PCC for 401s & they produce it-for the 402. The case is tall enough to hold the 401 battery & charge it, but you won't be able to get an assembled 401 in it. I'm thinking, once I get in it, I can move the connector down. I just don't want to mess up the whole case getting in. Someone in the battery mod section changed the 402 PCC into a 510 PCC. He went in through the bottom. I'm still working on it & when I get it figured out, I'll post it there. BTW, neither of the above will charge manuals.

I'm hoping Shawn gets the real 401 PCCs, they also charge manuals I think, soon. I know what he gets will be the real deal, I just got impatient & wasted money elsewhere. I am also looking forward to the XL carts he's getting.

I know i'm really late on the uptake, but i just saw this post today. i can say the new M402 smart pcc does hold a fully assembled M402 ecig.

on a side note, sorry shawn i couldn wait for you to get them in. I needed it fer a trip comin up, but i did order my M402 kit from ya, awsome by the way.
