The M402 is basically the M401 but with a shorter battery from what I've understood. Puresmoker.com has a starter kit called Pilot Hybrid that comes with one M401 battery and one M402 battery.

Correct.

M-401 and M-402 are identical except for the length of the battery.

Steve at Puresmoker will hook you up if you ask him nice.

I'd recommend the longer M401 battery over the M402 because the battery lasts longer and in my experience the switch in the M402 is too sensitive. If you can't wait for PureSmoker to complete their move, here is another US supplier:

A Better Smoke - Creative Alternative to Smoking Cigarettes

but they are considerably more expensive for starter kits...

A forumite called Chewy has started selling the evo recently in the us. i have the shorter batteries with the evo. They last around 3 or 4 hours (I'm vaping heavily - too heavy) but I've got the laptop on with the usb charger sticking out of it most of the day so there's no inconvenience. On a night out I'll charge both betteries and take the spare with me.

I get addicted to everything......
You should have seen how many lighters I had when I was smoking
I always bought plenty of lighters, but never was able to keep any of them.... I suspected Murphy wrote up another law on them I never heard about...

So can I assume the Intellicig EVO with the shorter battery is also the M402?

This is correct.

The M-401 / M-402 / M-403 are all identical except for size and power rating of the batteries.

They are all 3.7v and are 200 / 150 / 100 maH, respectively.

Also, 108mm 97mm and 88mm length (overall) respectively.
