Hey guys,

After originally starting on an Elusion kits (which had pre-filled cartridges) I eventually decided to get some eliquid and fill my own carts. This was about 12 months ago, and the first site I bought eliquid from was Mad Vapes.

Recently (after trying a bunch of sites with a bunch of differend eliquids I have gone back to Mad Vapes to restock on some old favourites - and to my horror, the shipping cost has doubled (maybe even increased more).

So aside from coming on here to simple complain - I'm wondering if there are any other sites which sell Top Vapor eliquids. Or if anyone can recommend another good Root Beer eliquid, which is the flavour I'm jonesing for most.

Thanks for any help.

I don't understand why we are paying so much for shipping. I just paid $4.00 S&H for one 30 ml bottle of juice .
Second order from this company, took them 11 days to get this order to my door. And you know it didn't cost
them $4.00 to mail a 30 ml bottle of juice by way of the slow pony!
Why does it take 11 days to ship one little bottle of juice? I usually use MBV, who has much better juice prices, better
S&H prices and they get my order to me in 3 days. But I wanted to get a second bottle of this particular juice from this other
vendor b/c I liked the first bottle I had tried. I am so frustrated at this point that I probably won't reorder from them.

sorry this post doesn't answer your question. I just wanted to commiserate with you over the cost of S&H!

One thing to keep in mind when paying for shipping, is you are not just paying for the package and service provided by the carrier, but also the service provided by the vendor. Does your package come with a seal on the bottle to keep it from leaking? Or an invoice for your convenience? Maybe the company is 10 miles away from the nearest post office. These are all factors that go into shipping costs. If a vendor could just push a button and have your product prepared, packaged and dropped off, maybe S&H would be cheaper, but they can't.

Back to your question, no I don't know any good root beers other than the one I make, but I wish you luck. If you must pay the crazy shipping, maybe try to buy a few items at once to make it more worth the cost. Good luck again!

Speaking from having an on-line yarn store, you do have to take into consideration the cost of boxes, tape, cc fees, utilities, payroll, etc. CC companies charge higher fees for small transactions. That is why you see many companies with free shipping after a higher levels. We do not charge much for our shipping, mostly anywhere from 50 cents- $1.00 over the actual cost of shipping which is a pretty good deal. Also you have to remember if a package weighs over 13 oz it has the go either parcel post or priority. These days parcel post is very close if not the same in cost. We no longer ship to Canada as the cost for small package rate has doubled since the last price increase by the U.S. Post Office. Just keep in mind that they waited awhile to increase the cost since the last U.S. mail increase.

For 3 oz we charge $2.95 shipping that includes tracking and a bubble envelope. They are on their own if they would like to pay $2.30 for insurance. If orders are over $100 we usually will pick up the insurance cost. I usually never have an issue with shipping cost because I know what the cost should be. I can see often that those do not buy often on the internet will not be used to paying actual costs. The other way I think about it is how much would it cost me to drive up to the city(45 mi.each way)and most important my time...that is even if they carried what I wanted which most likely they do not.

Fair enough .. and you know most places that offer free shipping just jack the price up to compensate ..

Hi guys, thanks a lot for your replies...

I think I forgot to mention that I am from Australia - so it is logical that international shipping could be a little pricey.

I think the first time I ordered from Mad Vapes the shipping was around $15-$20 - which I thought was reasonable at the time (considering the value of buying eliquid vs prefilled carts).

I just checked the shipping just now... If I were to order 1 x 30ml bottle from Mad Vapes - the cheapest shipping method available would cost $42.35 (not sure if thats USD or AUD).

That's a bit rich I reckon. It seems the shipping rate is a flat rate so no matter what I order (up to a reasonable limit) the shipping would be the same.

I'm gunna email them and ask.

------EDIT-------

Just checked my email history... when I first ordered 30ml of Root Beer (only 1 x 30ml bottle)... I was charged $15.20 total. This was on the 27th of November last year. So it wasnt even as long ago as I though.

Very strange.

Yeah, first class would be much cheaper. For example 12 oz to Australia is $14.90, 1 lb 8 oz is $20.45. It does take a little extra would doing the claims form on line but really under 5 minutes for sure. I would drop them a note if I were you and ask when they will start shipping first class again.

Hey again guys,

I ended up posting a query ticket on the Mad Vapes site, just got a reply a couple of days ago.

Help Desk ... the link for anyone interested.

Uncle Willie - I could probably cope with a $26 shipping fee - I would just bulk up my orders to offset the cost of shipping. The issue I have with Mad Vapes' new shipping costs is compounded by the fact that it has increased >500% since my order in November. I could argue myself into spending the money, $26 is only $18 more than the shipping from my first order, so thats not too bad. And $42 is only another $18 on top of that. So the sum is not the only issue, it's the margin by which the sum has increased.

Thanks again for the sympathy guys.
