I just bought my first vv kit, it is the smoktech vmax kit.I have read a LOT on these forums about battery safety and such( 4 months worth). I have read about stacking bats and of course I have to with this mod. Questions are as followed..
1. I know to keep "equal" bats in rotation but do I need to insert them in the mod in the same order, say number them one and two and keep them in the same position in the mod?

2. I went ahead and ordered another set and they are flat top efest 800mah IMR 18350's - Diameter 18.2mm Length 35.5mm. Will these be safe to use in this mod?
Thanks for all of your help. You guys and gals have been wonderful!

upon further research you are correct - the vmax VV board has to reduce the voltage to change it instead of stepping it up like most other mods do.

Ok - it is regulated so some of the stacked batteries issues are taken care of - ie: low voltage

Just keep the batteries paired up with each other and charge them at the same time and then rotate which battery goes into the vmax first (the lead battery will always discharge slightly faster then the bottom battery and this will keep them equal longer).

I would use a sharpy and number and letter them ie: 1a and 1b, 2a and 2b - if you forget which was 1st once or twice should not cause any major issues

one more question - Do you find yourself setting it at 6 volts very often? I only ask because this is the main point of the stacking batteries requirement over the other mods that only go to 5 volts stepping up a single 3.7 volt battery

Thank you very much Jim, exactly what I was looking for. I have not even received it yet so I don't know about voltage. Just wanted to check ahead of time.I will label and number them as suggested, just wasn't sure on rotation order, as some things I have read seem to say rotate order and others to keep in same position.
Also still looking for input on the bats I chose?
Thanks for the reply

the batteries are fine as you will not be pulling any big amps like subohms on mechs do. I use the same ones in my regulated mods in shorty configuration with no issues what so ever

edit - do not ever buy batteries with "fire" in the name - you are just testing fate with them
