woot woot made my first coil with 28g kanthal and cotton its a 1.7 micro on my russian, and it blew my mind with the flavor and how easy it was to do lol

Congratulations, I remember when I first started rebuilding, very rewarding! You should check out DIY juice, if you haven't already, then you'll be set to save tons of money, and it's also really easy.

Gratz easy wasn't it ? very rewarding to vape knowing you built the coil and wick for it.
thanks and i have looked into it. still want to do more research before i jump into that lol. Im waiting in another mod to get in so gota let the vape budget build back up ha
Nice! I love making could now. Used to love my nautilus, but that was until my kayfun with a clapton or double barrel coil lol
it was epic and the cotton made a HUGE difference. for some reason i thought it wouldnt be that big of a change but i was wrong
Its not nearly as hard or scary as out seemed at first eh? Im far from a pro but it is fun to guild could and self sufficiency is great too!

Oh my gosh! I made my first coil today too!! I was just about to share it! So far so good. It's burning evenly and no burnt or hot spots!

Hooray for you! I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on this next phase of vaping. I need to make sure it's "my" idea LOL. What did you use to wrap? Drill bit?/Size? # wraps?

After watching countless videos I decided that I could handle what I thought was going to be very difficult. A small piece of kanthal and smaller piece of cotton later, I now have (what I think) is a nice burning 8 wrap micro coil. Came in at 1.2ohms.
Just have to say thank you to all the "gurus" here on ECF for the guidance and reassurance that I needed.

im a medic so i grabbed an 18g needle from my aid bag lol i believe it was 10 or 11 wraps you can use a 5/64 drill bit from what iv heard just dont have one in my barracks room at the moment but will be getting one. it seriously took me going into an actual shop and the owner let me use his and i was sold on the flavor production over my protank
yea poored here in south Georgia and my wire came in so i already knew what i was doing when i got home from work lol
congrats..lol it aint hard once you get it down .. i love how long the coil lasts on my russian 91% pop in some fresh cotton every few days

This gives me hope....I have been wanting to try to build for a while now I've just been worried it will be super hard.
