I put one together quite a while back and it was very easy to do. You said you have basic soldering skills, and that's all you need. I believe there even is a how-to on their site. The worst part was soldering the pos lead to the 510 connector. I found that by roughing it up a little with a small file and using a some extra liquid flux it made it much easier. They may have added the 510 conn already pre-soldered, but I could not tell from the picture. Thought I read that somewhere.

I built one well over a year ago, my first mod. Still works as good as new, though I rarely use it anymore. I did use it every day for three to four months as I was learning the ins/outs of the vape world.

Good kit for somebody new to vaping, very functional, easy to build, should be easy to repair, though I never had too, and it's a good first bigger battery for those at the beginning of the learning curve. Makes a good backup as well, if something ever happens to your primary PV.
