I'd like to first state that I didn't purchase mine FROM Madvapes.com because I didn't know that they're the ones that made the "kit" mine was made from. I purchased mine from LJeSmokes.com, so if you buy yours as a kit, and put it together yourself you will not have this issue as you can set your height before you lock the tester bases into place.

On to my review:

After I received this unit, I decided to test the ohms on my Vivi Nova that I'd just gotten in the mail today as well. I went to screw the Vivi Nova (standard size) onto it, and was QUICKLY met with the fact that the 510 female base on the tester was sunk down too far for me to get the positive terminals to touch "No problem, I'll just pull it out a little" I said to myself...ENNH! Guess again! I did that, and ended up stripping the plastic, and glue away from the 510 connector on the tester, so I had to spend the next three hours of my day removing overly sticky glue from the compartment which also removed connections from both the test basses, AND stripped the cord connections from the PCB controller.

SO, I spent the next hour de-soldering, and re-soldering new connections onto it, and used a 20ga wire, and resin core solder which apparently did the trick because now it's working just fine. **NOTE** I tried using it while it was "apart" with the solder that LJeSmokes had used, and their cords as well, but apparently their solders weren't clean enough, or their cords weren't of a high enough guage because although it detected my 2.0ohm cartomizer just fine, it was reading my Nova at 10.Ohms connected correctly.

Moral of the story - I'd suggest buying it pre-built if you're going to use standard 510 cartomizers, but the stardust, and Vivi Nova, and such will NOT work on this unless you feel like doing a bit of work to it...

The product is solid, although mine's missing the screw for the compartment to close, but w.e It's a good build, but the connectors are held into the base by NOTHING more than glue, and friction fitting, so be aware of that. I was under the assumption that for twenty bucks the damned thing would at least be threaded in, or have a bottom lip, or something, but NOPE! It's just hanging out, waiting on that moment when you've screwed something down too far, or accidentally yank it out.

The accuracy is SPOT on, also...once you make sure your connection is closed, HOWEVER, due to the method of ohms law, make sure that you're not touching anything that's being tested and is metal, or you'll add, or subtract from the real value. Liquid being in the cartomizer, atomizer, etc. will affect it as well, and so will burned coils. Ohms are a tricky thing to meter, so keep this device as still and connected as tightly as possible.

Vape on!
