Okay, so I just got my Madvapes order in the mail. I got 4 flavors. A 10ml 24 mg blackberry, 5ml 18mg red velvet cake, 5 ml chocolate fudge bavarian cream, and 5 ml 18mg very berry tobacco. The berry tobacco I haven't gotten around to testing yet so that one is ommited from this review.

When I opened them all to take a wiff, I noticed one thing. That they all had the same, overpoweringly sweet fruity scent. Unfortunately the taste test didn't go much better. I dripped them with a duel coil atty. They pretty much all tasted the same, which was disappointing. They all had the essence of cheap candy. Is this a common problem with this company? Do I need to let them steep or something?

Anyway, I'm not impressed. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be ordering from this company again. On the bright side, not that everything was bad, my order arrived in a timely manner, and they included a free flashlight (don't ask me why, but it was cool I guess, who doesn't like free stuff?). I've also found a use for my tankomizer-blank tank set up! These liquids are okay in them, as the set up significantly mutes the flavor. I'll also probably mix them with some tobacco liquid I have (it basically just tastes sweet) to cut down the overpoweringness if I feel like putting them in a carto.

Oh, and I realized I haven't tasted the verry berry tobacco yet, but I have a feeling it's going to be exactly the same based on the smell. Oh! That smell! I just realized what it reminds me of, cheap car freshener, really really cheap car freshener.

Well, the top vapor line is probably my fav discount juice line. But I don't care for the chocolate flavors. And yes, it does need steeping! Even the 5-10 mls could use a couple days at least of steeping. I had tried chocolate fudge bavarian cream and unfortunately wasn't impressed, I really wanted to like that one!! And I tried other chocolate juices and did not like them either. However, I DO really like a lot of their fruit & mint flavors. Here's ones I did like: Cinnamon Pear, Honeydew, Mad Grapes, Irish Mintz, Ultamint, there were a few others also but can't remember them atm lol - but right now I am really liking mad grapes. I have noticed that th is lower for most of these juices, I have to get at least 18 mg for most of them because of that.
I would definitely let those steep and in the future try a few more. Pay attention to the ratings of the juices and pick some of the highest rated ones. Also check out the juice rating thread here on ecf in the madvapes subforum for more ideas on the best liked of the top vapor line. Hard to beat the price on these.

I did pick the juices with the highest ratings lol. Anyway, I will admit Red velvet cake and chocolate bavarian cream are actually okay in a carto. I don't love them, I wouldn't even say I like them, but they're useable. Maybe that'll change in time, maybe not. Very berry tobacco I tried today. I hate it. Absolutely hate it. I don't see that changing in time. Tastes like cough syrup to me. The blackberry I'm unsure if I hate it or not. Can't decide. There's hits I've got of it that were okay, and some that made me want to puke.

I will give it time, but those were my initial impressions. I really don't see how letting it steep will get rid of that fake chemical flavor, but I'll let the it sit for a while. How long, a couple days? Caps on or off?

Hmmm oh sorry I didn't think the bavarian cream had a high rating. I haven't heard much about any of those 4 flavors actually. I have tried very berry but not very berry tobacco. Didn't like it. Steeping is required with many juices. For the 5 mls I'd give them probably 3 days and maybe 5 or 6 for the 10 ml. Shake them every once in a while with the cap on. If really perfumey or strong let them sit 1 or 2 nights overnight with the cap off. If you still don't like them then you can swap or sell them here on ECF. Although I think to sell them you need a higher post count now though.

I asked one of my vendors how to get rid of what I described as the 'perfumey' taste on a freshly-made batch, and the advice I got was as follows:

Uncap the bottle, put it in a cupboard or something in the dark, let it sit open for 2-3 hours. Then cap it off, stick it back in the cupboard, let it sit for 2-3 days. Then pull it out and taste again. If it still seems perfumey, uncap, let it sit for 2-3 hours, cap, and let it sit for a full 2 weeks. If at that point you whip it out and it STILL doesn't work for you, that juice may not work for you.

However, reading here, I've also seen some people recommend putting bottles in a hot water bath and soaking 'em there for a few minutes, then letting it steep again. That may or may not help.

Finally, the option of last resort: add a drop of menthol or a drop of cinnamon to a cart of one of these flavors. It might mask the perfumey nature and bring out the other flavors.

Well if you don't want to sell them, swap them! That is, if you still don't care for them. There is a PIF thread here where one person makes an offer, the next person takes it and makes an offer, etc. And there are also swap threads. I have gotten to try a lot of juices this way, it's really fun!

I bought a bunch from them. Didn't like em...cuz they had soapy/perfume taste so I got rid of most of them. Then I got low on juice and found them in my junk pile after a couple months and tried the kick azz caramel again vaped the whole bottle and that taste/smell was gone...and wished I had the rest to try over! U never know!

Sorry to hear they aren't your cup of tea!! Like I said, you can always trade them out :) Thankfully they weren't too expensive. Two companies that aren't my cup of tea juice wise are Backwoods Brew & Pink Spot. Well, Pink Spot is okay, but backwoods brew has some base flavor in most of their juices that I don't care for. Everyone has different tastes. Those 2 are very popular juice vendors but I don't care for their juice much. You just never know. *Shrugs*
