I just recently started vaping. I have a Evic VTC mini with a Vapeston Maganus tank. I used both starter coils that came with my tank and was very pleased. The issue I have started once I bought replacement coils. It tastes horrible, like when the coil is burnt out. I thought maybe I had a bad one and replaced it with the same results. My boyfriend also has a Maganus on a IPV5, he bought replacements from a different shop with the same result. My highest wattage has been 40w and his is lower. We prepped them all the same, making sure they had ample juice. Yet we are left very unsatified. I want my nice flavors back. Does anyone have any helpful advice?

I love vaping, I was able to quit smoking in less than a week of owning this. Please help!

Which coils did you buy? There are quite a few that fit. I hate all the Ni heads for these tanks. The .2 has been the only one I have liked so far. You can use the fgcc coils and cCell ceramic coils. Pretty much any coils that will fit an atlantis tank will fit these. Its the same tank as the starre.

It says Vapeston DVC 0.2 o hm/150w
I do not believe they are the Ni or Ti ones. As these are supposed to be like the first ones we got. We even have the 0.5, same type and they taste just as disgusting. Our coils are saturated, so they shouldn't have the burnt taste. Yet they do, we did the exact same prep to them as the test coils we recieved.

The Maganus is essentially the same tank as the Starr Tank, I think your problem is the Vapeston coils, I found that out of all the coils I have used in the Starr the best I found are the original Herakles coils, specifically the .20 even over the stock Starr coils, like dc99 said ther are many coils that will fit that tank. I think the next step up from .2 coils are .4 for the Herakles.

Thank y'all for your insight! I will go see if I can snag some different coils today, non Vapeston and see if that helps. Also, I will talk to the guys at the local shops to see if anyone has any idea. I have found so many different trouble shooting links through google. Found mention of 510 pin issues, but I don't think that is the problem either. Being new to vaping, I feel very lost with this issue.

I messaged the shop I bought my coils from and told them vapers online had suggested a different coil. They agreed with my findings and asked for me to come in. They immediatly put a new coil/different brand in and my juice was suddenly tasty again! Also, they gave me two atomizers for free. Wonderfum people!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!

For those wondering I now have a Playboy atomizer in and it's been great so far! Thanks again!
